Not sure whats going on chaps, O Connell from Naas joined the Panel on Sunday.
The obvious influence of Naas Selector Mick Hoban is there for all to see.
Looks like Hoban also has his influence (was U/16 Manager last Year) with the amount of U/17S involved on the panel, and I would imagine at least 7 of the starting Team come Saturday.
This firmly leads me to believe that the eye is very much on next Year and not the 2009 Team.
I would love to see joeyboy post his preferred Minor Team, other than the 2 obvious ones, what others from your neck of the woods would ya have involved?. Have to say Edenderry were very unlucky, and Cribben was outstanding.

The stuff that is coming out of the dressing room is that the whole set up is a joke. How Holton is not on it is unbelievable,although how would they know apparently the never turned up to look at any of the Edenderry games despite 9 Kildare Players starting.

yermon i dont think its the six lads being underage that you question i think maybe its because joeyboy picked Paul Cribben instead of kevin Fitzpatrick.

There are always a few younger lads on the minor team and if they are good why not after all thats how they play with their clubs.

I agree dm if the younger lads are good enough they should be picked as these are the lads who should be the backbone of the team next year and the lads who will probably go on to make an impression at U 21 and senior level.

I heard there was a trial game in the County ground last Sunday, with the probable starting 15 (very similar to joeyboy team) v the rest. the rest won by 2 points..
See on the Wicklow site they are confident of causing a shock.. dont think it would be that big a surprise if we lost.. have been very poor last few Years @ Minor.
Heres hoping for a win of any sort. hope the lads get a bit of support, as Wicklow will be out in force, with their Seniors playing Sligo afterwards.
