i agree about kavanagh at full back. karl o brien has played senior championship the past 3 years even startin in a final at 16, a much better player but prone to injury. seems that barry is favourin newbridge fellas. larries won minor championship at this age group and have just 2 on panel now. great win saturday though

minors? 5 on the panel......... more than any other club. won nothing in recent years? u14 all ireland div. 2 feile.btw. against athy clane have beaten them in last years u15 league ( de year before dat aswell ) de u16 league slaughtered dem in de schools u16 and beaten dem in de schools senior. athy have beaten clane in de last 2 yrs NONE. no-one in athy has any right in the world to knock clane. the reason why clane players dont stand out is because dey are not hyped to the max.

My views Not sure about the quality of minor players in the county so can only comment judging from who I have seen. clane players have either one or more of these problems which will prob keep them off minor team a- not physically strong enough b- skill deficiencies c- very slow to move the ball The problem is I don t have enough knowledge of enough players to judge based on who else there. But just a couple of points. Bernard Deay is more naturally gifted ( if maybe not as strong) as Mikey Fahey from Maynooth ( who everyone seems to have starting) Probably one of the better prospects of the clane panel is not on panel- jack kelly who is as good as cribben from balyna (not stronger) cathal fitz is as strong as an ox but can lose concentration. Ryan McGrath is lacking ball skills in my opinion. I would be surprised if Gartland did not start. he as good as any back mentioned that i know of without a shadow of a doubt.Needs to use his brain a bit more.

My in depth analysis is that clane players are better than athy players. brernard deay is better than darroch mulhall, dillon gaffney is better than tony gibbons and ryan mcgrath is better than cian reynolds. athy have won 1 minor title nd dats it, why again are their players so great? b1 is a guy i can agree with. btw moorefield are doing well they are probably strong contenders gud u16 team last year

Dont have in depth knowledge of a lot of panel. thats why i said judging on players i have seen . NOT HEARD ABOUT which is what a lot of people tend to pick underage kildare teams on. B. Deay is not better than Daroch Mulhall. Daroch Mulhall quicker and stronger.And that makes a huge huge difference at this level!! fahey, deay and Mulhall would be a fairly intimidating full forward line though!!!
