a prelimanary squad of 35 has been picked at the moment.. only 4 or 5 weeks until murphy can name his panel.. it looks strong as it is! any idea on who will be captain??

Doherty & Fitzy are after playing last 2 matches @ midfield, and completely dominated. Fahey is left footed so will prob start @ right -half forward.
Darroch Mulhall will prob be Captain if he starts? as Athy are County Champs.
Cant see Gatland starting at corner back ahead off Tom Barron, Kev Corrigan or Lolly??
Great to see so much competition for places!
Jimmers Nolan is still gonna push for centre-back if fit enough(lot of injuries).
Dont think new rules will be used in the Championship this Year.
Mad rule that Minors cant train before 1st of March, with 1st round on the 18th of April.

so much potential in minor panel once again.. all depends on how it will be put together.. solid backs with the likes of nolan(towers) o shea and dowling(na fianna) brown (suncroft) kevin corrigan.. aspell and dan doherty will be a huge losses.. michael fahey, darroch mulhall, cian reynolds will always cause problems for defences.. as will alan barrett

i can't understand why paul cribbin would not be in midfield..brilliant engine..the sttand out midfielder in this years minor league and champ..and in 07 played midfield at jus 15 with his brother in a county final..brilliant engine,passer,scorer..i think doherty and him would make a good balance.

I think Cribben would be better used on the 40, However it seems at the moment he is carrying injuries, and maybe getting too much too young has'nt helped, as you have stated. We have all seen this before.

Andrew Behan from nurney is also on the panel and had been starting all the friendly matches but is meant to be out with a hamstring injury.

after the game got cancelled yesterday i heard barry wants to bring in a few new players to freshin things up. major talk about brian mcmahon, he will probly be considered for senior panel once he shows his classy skills, hardwork attitude and enthusisam. hes just what barry wants to get them team on there toes again. maybe omar dunne should also get a look??

regardin young baret gettin roasted in the final tink thats a bit harsh as all the sarsefields team didnt show up..not sure if gibbons wud be up to it this year but a cert in years ta come.. saw the minors against larries u21's and baret done well..wont be near the first fifteen tho..agree its a joke how holton and mike hanley arent involved but it cud only be a matter of time.

doyle and kelly from naas wud be huge players ta have and alan igoe???

on the u21's lads stil cant understand how karl o brien isnt on the panel.surely john kavanagh isnt a better full back than peter kelly from tmh..he didnt even start for sash seniors and the lad they had at full back is underage and wasnt picked..plays for ucd i tink.

in relation to steven conway i agree that he's not big enough for county football but surly he should of been brought in early in the year and put on a weights programme!! not many men that would be able to deal with his skill if he was giving the chance!!
