well des holton wont be playing with the county minors anyway. From what i hear hes after been dropped from the panel!absolute disgrace, hes arguably the best back in kildare at this level...anyone who has seen him play will agree??

Another year of misery at Minor level in Kildare ......Wait and see.........Murphy will not be sucessful with the bunch he has. The Managment team should have come from the Sarsfield, Athy and Balyna clubs who have dominated the minor level in the past 2 years.

What is wrong with the BUNCH he has?, as you put it, they beat st marys of rocherfordbridge 5 - 16 to 0 - 5 on sat last. Is it because BM is using some players from Clubs that are from the lower divisions?
Would you like it so that the Panel is made up of Athy, Sarsfields and Balyna players only?, as was much of the case last Year???!
Regarding Des Holton, fine player.. but is he ahead of O Shea and Dowling Na Fianna, Barron st kevins, Mc Donnell Sarsfields, doubt it to be honest.
Cian Reynolds is another fine player, and played well on sat last in the corner, but hard to see him playing at centre forward ahead of Fitzpatrick or Dunne who are 2 big men.

Not at all joeyboy, beating Rochfordbridge means nothing at all, beating Dublin in Parnell Park is what it's about and from my many years in football including watching the Minor and u-16 championship very closely for the past few years Murphy, including Clanes inept performances under Murphy I can not see any sucess this year. It is only my opinion and everyone is entiltled to their own.

on the team that bet rochfortbridge.. i would say that sean hurley, paul cribbin, ciaran aspell would be all dead certs ta come onto the team..also maybe dan doherty if he is on panel?darroch mullhall and fogarty were de main scoring threats..mullhall lookin very dangerous in the corner..colin o shea, mcdonnell and dowlin are certs for the back.. i think colin o shea would be a great captain..only player at this age to start last year..captained patricians to south leinster, won a junior champ and jack higgins with miltown and also won de u21s with na fianna..great player.. i think des holten is worth his place on panel anyway..i didn see any maynooth lads playing comeford, fahey or mcandrew hu will push close

on hearin of the return to football of brian mac, i was wonderin will there be any hope alan barry may bring him into the u21 squad . iv heard hes been on very intensive recovery training after a serious back opartion. a former master of full back at underage level, is this the missing link barry needs and the outlet to play his more dynamic players like conor brophy and young kinehan further out the field???

1. ?? 2. Craig Gartland (Clane) 3. Sean Dowling ( Na Fianna) 4. Donnacha Mcdonnell (Sarsfields) 5. Colin o Shea (Na Fianna) 6. Ciaran McInerny-Aspell (Sarsfields) 7. Mark Brown (Suncroft) 8. Oisin Doherty (Castledermot) 9. Willy Burke (Two-Mile House) 10. Paul Cribbin (Ballyna) 11. John McAndrew (Maynooth) 12. Philly Cocoman (Naas) 13. Darroch Mulhall (Athy) 14. Padraig Fogarty ( St. Laurences) / Sean Hurley (Ballyna) 15. Cian Reynolds (Athy) as a close follower of the minor team this year the same 15 names seem to be appearing over and over. Solid backs and midfield with the inside forward line with Mulhall and Reynolds having great potential. Also has two of the most naturally gifted attacking wing backs in O Shea and Brown. anybody care to comment?

I hope your not a selector..
No Keeper??
No Tom Barron, Kevin Fitzpatrick or Tom Mollick on the Team.
McInerney is not even on the panel.
Think you are a we bit out there.

Tom Barron will be in stiff competition with Craig Gartland but i think the clane man will get the nod.
Kevin Fitz is a solid player but at the moment is lacking match fitness and will be interesting to see how he fares up nearer to the Wicklow game..
Tommy Moolick is a good player with a lot of potential and could make that centre back position his own if Murphy gives him a chance there..
From what i've heard Aspell has been carrying an injury for most of the year and should return to the fold later..

You might be right about Moolick for centre back. I believe aspell is playing soccer and not available. I think if Fitz is fully fit he will be first choice at midfield.
Michael Fahey if available will be right half forward with cribben at centre forward.

Yeah but Willy Burke and Oisin Doherty in midfield have cleaned up against all opponents this year.. including Larries under 21's team!
You could be right yermon. Fitz adds another attacking option to an already strong forward line.
If anyone it will be Cocoman dropped to make way for Mikey Fahey because John McAndrew is a great playmaker. He nearly won the match for Maynooth minors against Athy in the championship single handedly.

Any word on Tony Gibbons involvement? Last i heard Murphy told him to concentrate on his own age group but he will recall him in March.. Definately worth his place on the panel.. Roasted Alan Barrett in the championship final and he is currently a member of the panel.

tony gibbons wont be next or near it. if he starts on his own county panel it would be a good start, because he doesnt. i dont mean any offence , great player but i dont see him as the best young thing in kildare.

Kildare minors are still only at trial stages, can not play matches till March. Correct me if i'm wrong so most of the players can not be judged till first few games in March, little time then untill they Play Wicklow. New Rules how are you ! any taughts
