Henry and seamus downey, the McGurk brothers and Kieran and Emmet Mckeever, some of the hardest siblings ive every seen play the game, there was no quarter asked or no quarter given when these boys played. red_neck (Derry) - Posts: 72 - 03/12/2008 12:36:49 155763 Link 0 |

Paul & Dermot Early (Roscommon) were hardy men. Liam Harnan could be added to the Lyons connection because he was a first cousin if I'm correctly informed and a seriously tough man as well. Others that spring to mind are the Fitzgerald brothers from Offaly (Mick & Pat) Mick executed a kung fu kick on Ciaran Duff in the '83 Leinster final that Eric Cantona would be envious of! dubupnorth (Dublin) - Posts: 1897 - 03/12/2008 14:33:27 155858 Link 0 |
The McGurk boys from Lavey were animals on the pitch, in a good way!! There always seemed to be millions of them!!!! If Lavey were losing near the end of the game then they just kicked the life out of you, good tactic!! Bald Eagle (None) - Posts: 1009 - 03/12/2008 15:11:02 155899 Link 0 |
