The ultimate club must be judged on all aspects of the GAA and not just on football and the number of titles won. While I admire the achievements of Dromard and by no means can take anything away from those great honours I feel that if you concentrate on one code then it may be tunnel vision.
A club that provides its community with a choice and diversification over all aspects of the GAA including football, hurling, camoige, scor, handball etc. should be viewed as having achieved more. Ultimate is defined as "furthest or highest in degree or order". Therefore the clubs that provide the most irrespective of amount of success would be classed as the ultimate club and in my opinion Mostrim, Clonguish & Slashers are the contenders.
