Cheerleaders

(Oldest Posts First)

Wouldnt it be great to see cheerleaders in croke park, manys an irish maiden doesnt get to croke park in front of a big crowd and if we introduce cheerleaders. To be honest cheerleading is the only way a woman is going to get to perform in front of a big crowd!!

storky that is the most disrespectful and derogatory comment you could make about ladies football. you should be sorry ladyfootballer didnt give you more of a telling off and i'm sure if she could she'd give you a good boot were u need it most. ladies football in the country is doing perfectly fine and i'm sure most would agree that it's far better than some mens football you see. Woman are fantastic technical footballers and need all the support they can get!

who do u think u are to say that ladies are only good for cheerleading. Ladies football in fermanagh is very competitive and the clubs going on to represent the country doing a very good job.
I would bet there are ladies in this county that have won more medals at all levels then u have.
Ladies football is not a physical sport so there is more skill. It might not be as quick as the mens game but women/ladies put just as much effort in to traing and matchs then anyone.
I would tell u to go and watch the top teams in the county the likes of Skea league winners NTB Senior champonship winners BBoro Intermediate champ winners Donagh Junier Champonship winners and Kinawley who have had a clean sweep of all underage titles for the last number of years.
Please dont make such stupid comments

well i like my 'icecream' "storky"!!!

And just to mention i think i would like to see you debate your ideas about ladies football to a group of lady(and male for that matter) GAA enthusiasts and see how far you got before somebody else thought that you were "clean mad". you're obviously not very well indulged in correct and proper GAA conduct which would probably make you an outcast in a any GAA community based club!! especially a female club!

Yes, get them at club games to for practice. Like rounders it could become an integril part of the GAA.

storky, you put forward a very valid point. Women may get to play in croke park but only in front of about 100 people, 20 of whom are the back room staff. Cheerleading is the way forward to keep women active within the GAA

First auditions take place in the Fort Lodge Hotel this New Year's Eve. Reasonably big attendance expected from budding cheerleaders, male and female alike.
