Heard Dara Stapleton had great game v Down weekend before last. Scored something like 2-06. Gary Sweeney had good game also. Team against Cavan was only experimental so not too much to wory about.
Playing Monaghan on Saturday in Carrickmacross

Saw Dublin play Cavan last weekend. Some Stapleton lad was good but midfield was bad. Cavan looking good for the championship!!!

i would agree that Dublin are always big and strong. I do remember playin against them at minor myself for louth but they are always beatable. Ye weren't that big and strong when you robbed us after a replay up in navan a few years ago.

Anyway i don't know much about our minors. They seem to be going very well and we have home advantage. I think everyone in our county kind of knew our U-21s wouldnt be up to much this year but about 9 of them are u-21 again next year so they are still only 19 or 20.

Best of luck on saturday. Minor championship games are always good entertainment. Honest football played without the cynisicm. Interesting fact, we havent won a leinster minor chamionship since 1953 and we went on a period of having no minor leinster championship games for 9 years in the 90's.

Dublin have won 28 leinster minors most recent in 2003. If I was the louth manager I would be asking ye to come out and prove how good ye think ye are. I would most certainly have my team prepared not to give ye an inch. Best of luck

DUBLIN (MF v Louth) - David Downey (Ballyboughal); Kevin OBrien (Naomh Mearnóg), Fionn Carney (St Sylvesters), Alan Carr (Kilmacud Crokes); Eoghan Keogh (Raheny), John Kelly (Na Fianna), Gerry Seaver (Ballyboughal); Ciarán Reddin (St Maurs), Darragh Stapleton (St Pats Palmestown); Feargal Breathnach (Na Fianna), Gary Sweeney (St Sylvesters), Paul Hudson (Thomas Davis); Cormac Diamond (St Vincents), Colm Carr (St Brigids), AN Other.
Subs: Colin Quill (Naomh Barróg), Kevin Twomey (St Brigids), James Kilduff (Ballyboden St Endas), Michael Conncarr (St Vincents), Dáithí Ó Murchú (St Vincents), Stephen OKelly (St Vincents), Mark Schutte (Cuala), Conor OBrien (Cuala), Conor Walsh (St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh).

Why is Stapo midfield ? Would rather see him on edge of square. Maybe with AN Other he might still end up there. Just can't see where the scores are going to come from apart from Sweeney & Collie Carr.
Anyone know how good Louth are ? They didn't play in Ulster League for some reasons. Played challenge games only with good results against Galway (draw) Monaghan (win) & Tyrone (3pt loss) according to Louth site.

exceptioanl dublin minors. who are your number 5 (long hair) 8 (tight red head) and 11. Excellent palyers. Dublin to win it out im afraid with considerable ease. Players poppin over 45's and long range points from the sideline. Top class.

An excellent performance. I was wrong worrying where scores would come from. 4-15 is a huge total over 60 minutes. And Stapleton was very quiet even though he scored first goal after 30 seconds from great Sweeney run. Keogh, Seaver, Kelly & Sweeney completely dominated the midfield diamond. Full back Carney was very solid also. Louth had no answer. They looked like a very poor outfit or maybe just had an 'off' night. Sometimes it can happen with minors. Looking forward to Laois next month but little would be learned from this win.

sneachta.
Surprising that based in Dublin, having won so much at club & college level and with all your badges & stripes that you wouldn't have known about Keogh, Seaver and Sweeney.
Maybe your a bluffer ???
