Dromorethegreat just stop being so damn ignorant!
Those lads went out and did their county and their club proud. And the whole of Tyrone should be giving them praise. Not idiots like you saying that they let there county down.
I would like to say well done to Trillick for their great season and best of luck in Div 1 next year.

thecuckoo - if because the majority of Trillick players went to school in Enniskillen makes them "Fermanagh men at heart", does this make Sean Cavanagh & Phillip Jordan, not to mention the late Cormac McAnallen Armagh men at heart? What about players from Cookstown, Ardboe, & Moortown who went to school in Magherafelt, Derry men at heart? Not to mention those from Clann na nGael, Brian Dooher went to school in Derry City. Seriously, have some freakin' cop on. Most of the Trillick parish is closer to Enniskillen than Omagh and many in the village have went to school there but there has never been any doubt about the loyalty to Tyrone, not Fermanagh, otherwise why would Niall Gormley line out for Tyrone or Liam Donnelly help take Tyrone to All-Ireland minor titles. As for dromorethegreat and shamtown Gael, these are two people who'd I'd hate to stand beside on a terrace during a game, probably jealous of the fact that Trillick have a decent club spirit and that the highlight of 2008 wasn't their manager headbutting an opposing player in front of hundreds of thousands watching on TG4.

The Cuckoo has his finger on the pulse. Either you are a loyal Tyrone GAA man or woman or a milk-and-water one jumping county boundaries to play for schools, etc. You can't sit on the fence, anyone who ignores their county for the sake of schooling, shopping or whatever never can be a true loyal Tyrone person. It's as simple as that.

me thinks dats those ones on here are talking through their hat saying you can't be loyal county man if you play for school or college outside the county. in mattie's case he is first a true tyrone supporter and secondly he is proud to represent is school in sport. so it stupid to label everyone he same.

The_Lug_Coa how apprpriate is youi user name coming from Coa! I would suggest that you keep your nose out of Tyrone's affairs and get back to dealing with your own club's problems as regularly highlighted on the Fermanagh board. Do you recall the use of a Trillick player during your championship?

Dromore, give over. You haven't a clue what your on about. I have been readin through this thread and every post you make is utter rubbish. I am not a Trillick man nor do I have much love for them but I think that in terms of tradition and achievements within Tyrone club football they are a better clun than Dromore. You continually refer to them as 1 hit wonders and that they will soon go back down to where they belong but I think you'll find that it is your club who are the 1 hit wonders. Now give it a rest and and speak to us when Dromore win another couple of O'Neill cups - the only real measurement of a clubs success in Tyrone.

Why dosent Dromorethegoat take his own advice and focus on his own clubs problems, which are well documented!

trilaecAbu what are you on about? Take a look at your own club over the last fews years and they were a shambles with players disagreeing between themselves and management as well. I along with a host of other Dromore people in Croke Park on Sat to support our county in a great win against Dublin, but I didn't recognised too many from Trillick there. If you are to be respected by the county you lot need to rise above you wee bit of pubilicity of late and realise you are only at a certain level and the popularlity of a certain young team member has to be balanced and not too much emphasis placed on it. The real test for you lot will be this season and I wouldn't hold my breath on the outcome!

I thought you had to be 17 to be able to play senior and if this is the case why was Mattie used in a game in 2007?

I hear that Trillick can't get their players interested in training for the new season.

Have they bottled out already in this their return to division one?

Irvinestown Gael, give it a rest. The Trillick club is and has been ten times the club of your own club, with what i would estimate to be a quarter of the population.
The second biggest town in Fermanagh and the likelihood this year will be elimination in the Intermediate championship at the hands of your beloved Coa neighbours and another season in division 2.

Probably due to the fact that Trillick motto is if you're good enough you're young enough-unlike skin town where if you're any good you go and play for Enniskillen

i was reading on fermanagh board bout clubs amaligamating and thought wulds it solve things if trillick ands dromore joined togather as trillick is a small club and dromore lost players to soccer and if they joins togather it mite end all the hatred between thems.

Lug I think the amalgamation should be between yourselves and Trillick as you interchange players at times anyway. No I do not think we would ever enter into to again agreement with a lower grade club and one which wouldn't be totally supportive of Dromore if they were forced to come to join us. God forbid it should ever happen.

What a sad time for Trillick after being booted out of the Irish Club championship find themselves kicked in the teeth yet again when their county also failed miserably. So much for all the gloryhunting and media attention of 2008 as it all downhill ever since!
