SammyTheBull - No need to go running down places. Wasn't it a team from back your way that made all the papers for the wrong reasons; violence in Pearse Stadium. Best thing is to just ignore CityBoy.

OK Alfie, Ignoring him is the best option!!! But you have to agree, he was way out of order!!!
Really hoping, that match is on in Inverin Sunday, like Citygaafan says!!!No better way to spend a Sunday Afternoon, and being a neutral adds to the enjoyment!!!!

I heard out west this evening that Carna have lodged an objection to Lettermore going into the final,on the basis that the last round of the league was not played on the same day, Can anyone in the know confirm this??????????????? if this is true the Lettermore V St Michaels's game will not go ahead on Sunday.

St Michaels - - Lettermore Inverin 30/11/2008 14:00 Final ...This is for certain!!! Nothing in Rule Book about playing games at same time!!! The fact of the matter is: When you play in a Leauge, you are supposed to pick up as many points as possible from your games! All teams play equal amount of games! Cant see where playing the games at the same tiome makes a difference!! Unless the Clubs are cheating!! Or would cheat! Now stand up any club who cheated or would cheat!!
Great nobody stood up!!! Where is the problem?????

Maddog, just to let you know that Michaels have already won the intermediate county title, which guarantees them senior status for next year. They even went on to win the connacht intermediate title. Wish them best of luck for the all ireland series.

can anyone clear this up for me: what does scoring average mean?
the way i see scoring average is: you add up all the teams scores in all their matches and divide by the number of games played. but the way that it been interpreted seems to me is just plain score difference like they do in the premiership. if this is the case way does it not say score difference in the rule book??? just trying to keep carna and oughterard hopes alive. because if you calculate it my way oughterard are second in the table and carna 3rd with naomh anna 3rd.

anyone got any ideas?

how about next year if the league isn't over and wrapped up by the first week in November we just pick names out of a hat!!!!
save máitin and paddy a few head aches. (in all fairness though they do a lot of good work that no one ever credits them for, theres one body jumping to take over their jobs, which is always a sign that it involves a lot of work and is thankless)
