BEST SCORE YOU HAVE EVER SEEN??

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

One of the best i have seen was brian doohers point in this years all ireland final, he picked the ball up in his own half, took two heavy hits from two kerry players and then put it over from basically the sideline with the outside of his boot..AMAZING!! I believe if cooper or maurice fitzgerald had scored this point it would have been hailed as the greatest score ever by the pundits!! close 2nd....maurice fitz v dublin...take a bow son!!

John Doyles sideline against Limerick this year, if it was Brogan, Cooper or anyone from the big teams it would have been huge news

Maradona against England, rose like a salomn to gently caress the ball to the back of the net with his mop of beautiful curls....

Me 2002 NSW blitz. Took it from the sky in mid-field from the right wing solo in while holding off two or three players. Came in from the right and blasted it into the top corner with about 5 fella on the line. Canavan or Cooper would have been proud of it and probably never have scored one like it and never will.

Derek Duggan equalising free against Mayo some years back - off the ground into the wind on the halfway line! Unbelievable it went over!

Ciaran Mcdonald winning point against the Dubs in 06 - his run to recieve the ball was brilliant as was the finish.

Maurice Sheridan free from the sideline.

Colin Corkery hit some class score in his day too!

Dooher goes through the workload of a horse but has the subtlety of a master craftsman. A sublime player. His point was the point of the Championship

conor mortimer free v galway a few years ago. He must have been 20 - 25 metres out from goal and he put it straight over the black spot. A real beaut

In no particular order..

Points
Maurice Fitz V Dublin.. Nerves of steel and skill from the top drawer
Sean Og De Paor V Kildare... After Donnellan left Kildare in his wake
Ciaran McDonald v Dublin... Sprinted 60 yards in the dying minutes to get on the end of the move and scored the winner from the wrong side from the tightest of angles
Brian Dooher V Kerry.. Sheer determination and strength to break the tackles and no little technique to send it over

Goals
Jack O Shea V Offaly 1981.. A bullet of a finish after a great move
Kevin Foley V Dublin 1991.. Just for the sheer drama!!
