Castlederg have a great pitch with a great surface!!

This is an absolute credit to men who unfortunately are no longer part of the club! These men (Only a small handful) worked extremely hard, acquiring the pitch, fundraising and then fightling a long battle to obtain planning permission! These men did all this work on their own, only to be pushed out when the pitch was finally ready!! True gaels of castlederg gfc will always know the story behind the pitch and how Castlederg came to having such great facilities due to the efforts of many that came before!! Looking forward to seeing the changing rooms put in place!

Fintona - would run Carrickmore a close second. Probably the best pitch in the county, good parking facilities both inside and outside the grounds. Changing rooms a bit small but I've heard of a new clubhouse being planned along with another full sized pitch. Good covered stand and extra terracing, atmosphere is brilliant for championship games due to the closed in feel of the place and the ground is kept spotless. Two Ulster Council awards don't tell lies. Improvements? Extra terracing behind the far goals would be a bonus as would floodlights.
...
Would agree with that

Glenelly has the best pitch

Hmmm, I find that quite hard to believe. As every time I've played there the side of the pitch closest to the road is covered in leaves, and the rest of the pitch is mostly all sand.

Happend to drive past Drumraghs pitch in clanabogan the other week and the new facilities (New clubrooms and floodlit training pticch) look fantastic in additon to a pitch that is always in superb condition. With large space for parking its not long before they will be hosting senior club championship games. All credit is due to those who put in the hard graft.
