Top 5 pitches / facilities in Tyrone

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

i think any club who makes an effort to provide a pitch and facilities for its members deserve to be credited..

but from personal experience:

1..Edandork
2..Healy Park
3..Coalisland
4..Derrytresk
5..Clonoe

Derrytresk and Clonoe would be further up that list if they didnt have astroturf in the 6 yard square

Astroturf goalmouths are a great idea..
I'm sure most goalmouths in the county are competely muck and water.

Hard to say if they are or not . Along the sideline maybe a bit but not on pitch .

from personal experience and around my end of the country..
dromore-sandy pitch, awkward set up and changing rooms need done up
edendork-great pitch, nice dimensions, and its nice to watch a game from the car seat!;)
carrickmore-good stands and good set up, pitch is on a hill and not flat
beragh-terrible pitch...good changing rooms
eskra-emm...moving on
dunmoyle-great pitch when in its prime, good drainage and brilliant changing rooms, training field can be top quality aswell a times, although out of the way and can be poor atmosphere
healey park-can be a very good pitch, great atmosphere although at times it can be terrible! changing rooms are rather good, spacious!
augher-terrible changing rooms and decent field, good enough location though
fintona-great field! good changing rooms but an extremely small stand.
dregish-county standard?

Carmen pitch is not on a hill. It is very bumpy with heights and hollows though. It is being replaced with a brand new one next year.
For club football the best ground for atmosphere (apart from our own off coarse) is Pomeroy.

When Donaghmore's new building is up and ready in the nxt month r to it will have the best facilities in tyrone by farr and maybe even Uslter

Donaghmore will be up ther with the best set-ups when complete.
Dunmoyle pitch is excellent but is the middle of nowhere.
Clonoe need a training pitch
Ardboe pitches are good but changing room could do with a revamp.
Promeroy is excellent except for the parking at c'ship games
Healy park (but it should be one of the best)

Carmen is my choice though - good field to play on and in my view the best ground to watch c'sip games

1.Healy Park obviously, unbelievable technology and facilities
2.Dunmoyle's new setup is very good with great pitch, although location is a drawback
3.Dungannon is quite dated but is a great championship game venue with great atmosphere
4.Ardboe, according to the players, is meant to be a very good surface
5.Carrickmore is another great championship venue with good atmosphere, facilities are dated but still very capable of doing their job

Can someone enlighten me on why Donaghmore's facilities are going to be so good, and also had Edendork any new plans?
