Trillicks field is also great, and I hear Tattyreagh's new set up is top notch.

The guy who said Pomeroys changing is alright must be an U12. I played there recently and we had to tske shifts in getting changed. Turned out to be a shambles of a place.

Lads to be fair i have not been to many grounds in tyrone but i am suprised noone has mentioned Eglish, I suppose arond the pitch migh not be too great but their club house, weights room, gym hall would be the envy of most clubs in Armagh.

They're not the only thing that's the envy of most clubs in Armagh when no-one can produce a team to stop a team winning the flipping county title 13 teams in a row- speaks volumes for club football in Armagh all right

There has not been too many teams in ulster able to stop them either. or in ireland for that matter. I know one thing if clonoe make it far enough they will not geat them. Pearse Ogs would win Tyrone championship.

eglish has rubbish pitch but good facilities, I'm also suprised nobody has mentioned dungannon pitch.

Dungannon = good sized pitch and training pitch, clubhouse ok, good stand but need floodlights.

Ardboe = good sized pitch and good training feild, clubhouse good need floodlights aswell

Dunmoyle (errigal ciaran) = 2 great pitches, in the middle of nowhere though, clubhouse brilliant.

Carrickmore = 2 good pitches and stands, clubhouse good aswell good parking facilities

Donaghmore = brilliant pitch, club house being done up should be good when finished.

harps boi, you obviously have your own personal bias against derrytresk so can i ask you one question; did you happen to play against derrytresk and get a slap on the mouth or a good roasting? cause this would explain your obvious dislike of this club. you are the only person on this whole website that holds this grudge. your argument about derrytresk not accepting defeat...how can this be true as they are beat regularly. if they couldnt accept defeat, they would be defunct. no trophies this year, but progress has been made. remember, stewartstown lost numerous youth finals before they won one....so QUIT YOUR SQUAWKING!

Always liked playing on the Trillick pitch on a dry Summers day but my opinion would be biased. Carrickmore ground has alot going for it but was right and wet for the Trillick-Moy match. Suppose the weather recently didnt help.

Richard yes we do have a few players from Clonoe and Coalisland I wouldn't call them drop outs Vivian Teague would get on most senior club teams and the majority of players come from club youth teams. You still haven't aswered my question to you play football and if so for ?????????? Big lad coward. I wouldn't even respond to the Stewartstown man as I know he wouldn't represent the majority of Stewartstown men as I'm sure they would be the first to congratulate us if we were to win anything. We haven't won much of late though we are progressing and mark my words we won't be far away in Junior in the near future. As for this years minor final I was unfortunate or fortunate depending on what way you look at it to miss it and by all accounts a draw would have been a fair result especially considering the supposed added time that was added on. Although I wouldn't know Derrytresk we lost two finals by a point and pushed hard in every other competition we were in so we must be doing something right.

Clonoe- As a rahilly man i would say this is the best lol but it has got great facilities, state of the art gym, good size sports hall, 4 changing rooms, sauna, upstairs is brilliant too with a bar and lounge and gamesroom! Field is decent, good floodlighting but it would be nice to have a training field! the carparking is very good also!

Derrytresk- very nice pitch to play on, one of the best in tyrone and it is surrounded by moss but they do a great job keeping it in good shape. Also have a great community centre.

Edendork- Love playin on this pitch, its big and wide and you get a lot of space on the ball, but the clubhouse is a joke!!

Louchmacrory- Just got a new pitch and i have to say it is fantastic, compared to their last field which was a cow field! the new clubhouse looks amazing from the outside and from what i have heard it class inside aswell. pity about their team tho lol

Omagh- One of the best in Tyrone, after all it is the county pitch! great stand and plenty of room all round the pitch for people to see the game, floodlighting is fantastic and the control tower at the far side is in great shape, 2 scoreboards, good carparking facilities. But from what i seen at the county final the pitch is a disgrace when a bit of water gets on it, u would think with the amount of money that the county board gets it could afford to get some decent drainage in.

there's no arguement..when it comes to big games and atmospheres nothing beats watching a game in Dungannon...

I think by and large we could argue that most clubs in Tyrone are pretty well looked after in terms of pitches and/or facilities... what about the clubs with the worst set up in the county? Have to say Moortown pitch is awful, serious work needs to be done there. Any thoughts?

Just wondreing lads, in terms of the quality of the pitchs at your clubs, who's responsible for maintaining them?

Is it down to groundsmen at each club or does the county board have any sway or overall program to upgrade the pitch quality. I'm wondering is there any specialist contractors out there who we can call on for technical support in terms of drainage, soil mechanics, grasses and generally ongoing maintenance. I only know of Prunty but as far as i know they mainly stick to the construction side of things

well i think stewartstowns pitch is the worst in the county by a clear mile! there is a hill in the pitch, the nets are old and wonky and the club house is tiny lol

naw are clubhouse is good inside, and wer under development to get a new pitch and tarmac the outside, in 5 years or so yous will all envy stown lol

cheers ball bhoy, and hillman no, i know alot of people, and i meana lot of people who hate derrytresk. and yes everytime they get beat excuses, i was lookin at the minor grade 3, just look how many people mention their excuses their. and actually we havnt lost many youth finals, our U-14s have won the double last 3 years in a row, cant say weve lost alot of youth finals, in fairness we lost an U-13 final last year and U-16 final last year, but compare that to wat weve won at youth last couple of years and thats impressive.

ballbhoy back me up here lol

I for one think derrytresk facilities are top notch and the effort and passion they show trying to bring their club forward on the field are emmence. I am a rahilly man and always think my club are lucky to be reasonably successfull at youth and senior level over the last fifty years. There are a lot of clubs in this area getting harder all the time too keep going. I think every club in this area are getting it tight for numbers. Long live the small country club.
