May not be in top 5 but i have been very impressed with Tattyreagh's facilities. Great playing surface and excellent social club. Beragh's clubrooms outstanding too.. pitch needs some attention but probably next on their agenda.

My selections would include in no particular order: Omagh/co. board - pitch and floodlighting facilities, covered stand, modern changing facilities Greencastle - 2 pitches with floodlighting facilities, covered stand Edendork - Great pitch and playing surface (although no covered spectating areas) Dunmoyle - good Pitch facilities and covered stand Loughmacrory - New pitch and exellent pavillion Clonoe - good enough pitch exellent pavillion area. Fintona - exellent pitch and the best kept ground in the county with covered stand Augher - good pitch facilities, covered stand Clogher - Good pitch and stand Kildress - Good pitch and stand Pomeroy - good pitch and stand, tiny changing areas though - ok for under 12 etc but not senior. Many other facilities deserve credit also it must be said such as Strabane, Urney, Drumragh, Tattyreagh,Beragh, Killeeshil.

I have to say Carrickmores facilities are great apart from the playing surface. It is the best ground in the county for atmoshere. There is 3 covered stands, 2 full sized fields, proper floodlights, small training field, 4 mens changing rooms, 2 purpose built ladies changing rooms, a fitness suite, museum, function room.

Kildress - Good pitch and stand

Are you having a laugh? I've played on it twice this year and both times it was a quagmire! Was never any better.

I would rate Drumragh, Loughmacrory, Ardboe and Edendork amongst some of the best surfaces I have been on this year. Drumragh have plans for big development of a training pitch and new clubhouse which looked very impressive on paper. Ardboes training facilities with the floodlights are also among the best in the county.

Pomeroy - good facilities for watching, ok pitch, brutal changing etc.
Dunmoyle - everything good but the signposts
Omagh - pitch letting it down a bit
Donaghmore - New facilities costing 2 -3 mill. in progress Good view of pitch, but deadly soft to play
Ardboe - good pitch, need to be after that money
Carrickmore - Heard new changing rooms planned, currently only let down, pitch in great nick now.
Clonoe, facilites really good, but made us and reserves change in same room (astro turf goals???)
Coalisland - could do with a stand.
Edendork - great pitch rest shocking
Galbally, decent
Killyclogher - pitch good, only watch on one side but creates good atmosphere, facil good
Dromore - strange layout but hear they are doing major work.

of course lower division clubs will not get taken seriously, but i hav played on derrytresk field manys a time, and it is without doubt, one of the best on the county. it is in the same condition all year round....absolutely fabulous. im sure those that have also played on it will agree. before you division 1 smartass's start spouting about the standard of div 3 fields, take a walk on derrytresk pitch and make your judgement after that.

stewartstown pitch has to be up thir with the best........lol

derrytresk has the pitch, has the clubhouse, all it needs now is the players :) but they actually do have good facilities, so does urney.

Greencastle has a good stand as well.

Richard if you were a true Tyrone Gael you wouldn't need sat nav to find Derrytresk you would know were it is. What club are you from anyway ????????????????? I would know how to find any ground from the washingbay all the way to Aghyaran and thats without maps or sat nav you might be more used to travelling to stangmore park or St Julians road though no need for sat nav to find them locations. I have to say our own facilities are good for a small junior club though additional car parking, a stand, a full size training pitch with floodlights and a state of the art gym would make it complete though Carlberg don't do dreams. In all seriousness its a credit to our clubs that every club has a decent playing surface with at least changing rooms and that all clubs are moving to up grade their facilities you got to remember though all these improvements take ££££££ and in the middle of a credit crunch good luck.

harps boi, i believe getting to under21 and minor championship finals, minor league quarter final and two under 16 semi finals would be quite a success for THE SMALLEST CLUB in the county. their seniors also finished 8th, above teams with a much larger pick. wasnt so long ago stewartstown were struggling against derrytresk and the like in division 3. so think about your statements before you post them and make an idiot out of yourself.

I'm confused, what have Dregish got to do with a Derrytresk / Stewartstown arguement?

hardly maken an idiot of myself, derrytresk people get on like they are the greatest club in tyrone, they can never gracefully accept defeat. And i know we wer in the dumps for a while, but when we were their if we got beat we accepted it. But derrytresk man, just outa curiosity, how many tropheys/shields are going back to derrytresk this year? no disrespect to any club who didnt win anything. And also, for the apparently smallest club in tyrone, yous make more excuses than any other club in tyrone!

Carrickmore - probably the best non-county ground in Tyrone all thanks to a huge community effort. Some parts look a little dated like the original two stands but are adequate, main pitch is all right, nothing special but not a bog either. Changing Rooms and clubhouse are very good. Parking facilities are very good, not many problems. Improvements? Not much I can think of at this stage, maybe better toilets for spectators. Fintona - would run Carrickmore a close second. Probably the best pitch in the county, good parking facilities both inside and outside the grounds. Changing rooms a bit small but I've heard of a new clubhouse being planned along with another full sized pitch. Good covered stand and extra terracing, atmosphere is brilliant for championship games due to the closed in feel of the place and the ground is kept spotless. Two Ulster Council awards don't tell lies. Improvements? Extra terracing behind the far goals would be a bonus as would floodlights. Errigal Ciaran - Dunmoyle is a bit out of the way, but has a great set up. New clubhouse is excellent, both pitches are very good, spectator facilities are very good though the atmosphere can be lost a bit as its very open. Improvements? I don't think there's much else they can do as their lonely location makes the place very open, maybe floodlights on the main pitch. Derrytresk - Great pitch, changing rooms and community centre, but lacking in good spectator facilities. Derrylaughan - Their location has good and bad points. Their pitches are dry most of the time thanks to the wind from the Lough but this also affects games. Changing rooms are big, great for teams. No shelter for spectators though. Pomeroy - Good open ground, good pitch and good changing rooms, they're not that small. Urney - great pitch, good changing, but lacking in decent spectator facilities and parking. Will need to update these if they want to be serious in hosting championship games. Edendork - A very good pitch but average spectator facilities, don't know how they get so many championship games. Newtownstewart - Good spectators facilities, good player facilities, but the pitch can be poor in bad weather. Greencastle - new pitch is huge, stand is good, changing rooms are now a bit old though and its very easy to get blown away! To be fair, most clubs in Tyrone now have good new facilities that are a credit to all of them. But any club that wants to host a championship game should have the following at least. Good car parking that doesn't take an hour to empty after a match At least four turnstiles A pitch that can take the roughest of Tyrone weather and not be badly cut up after two matches. A covered stand for at least 500 spectators and terracing for the rest. Grass banks just don't cut it today. Provision for disabled spectators. Catch nets. Good stewarding. Clean, accessible toilet facilities for both men and women. A snack shop that doesn't rip an arm and a leg off you. A decent PA system. Feel free to add any others.
