I like your team Pecho, but who are christopher tully and gary daly from Cuchullains?? never heard of them before

Are they doing well for the division 1 finalists this year or something?

Crash bang wallop.

James Reilly

M Hannon
D Rabbitte
M Cahill

M Brides
T Crowe....
Paul Brady

N Walsh
M McDonald

M Lyng
M McKeever
C Mackey

Jelly
D McCabe
R Flanagan.....2 man FF Line with RF as a third midfielder/sweeper

Did you go to a game all year.

M hannon is good enough but no aggression lets his man win the ball then tackles.Drumgoon? Why are such a quality team where they are?

Trevor Crow is 30 unlikely to appear for cavan again.More the pity but your cluthing straws.

Walsh & Mc donald midfield are ya having a giraffe!!tried tried tried will ya throw away your old match programs

If mackey can t make corner forward bench son.

R flanagan is a half back if he can t make it there quit trying to managerally invent positions for him

You did nt go to one match all year that team could be picked in the imperial of a sunday nite.

No Denn.Ramor.Gaels shud be about 7 of them.Redhills ballyhaise all the clubs that suceeded to an extent tis yr..

Denn Man WTF??? Walsh MF for the simple reason that he dominated against Kildare when he came on.....no other MF player even matched his man in that sector all year.

Mulvey has had his chance.....not good enough although he had a good 20 mins against Antrim.
Keating too small. McCabe not fit enough for 60/70 mins at MF.....Stevie Wonder could tell you that. Galligan from Drung is not physical enough. McDonald can catch a ball, and with Walsh doing a lot of the donkey work he might work. Havent seen this Corr chap from Denn so cant comment....dont even know where he plays. McKeever more beneficial as a HB or HF

Mackey had a super Championship last year for Cavan. Dont think you will find too many to disagree with me on that one.

Flanagans best asset is his distribution and vision. Has played football at various age levels in all positions from CB to CF. FF on a Cavan Minor team. As a half back too much defensive responsibility would hinder his attacking talents.

Crowe may be wishful thinking, but with a new manager you never know. Dont know many Cavan people that would argue with his inclusion.

As for Ramor Aido Cole would be there or thereabouts but Jelly and McCabe would be ahead of him for a FF Line place. And a 3 man FF Line limits Jellys effectiveness.

Oh and I seen Gaynor playing against Castlerahan in the Championship. Barry Cusack didnt give him a sniff of it. Yeah yeah hes a HB but he still should have been able to dominate that area if he is of a "county" standard

Lads i know u guys are really keen to see Cavan doing well as a county team but its going to take time to coach and build a new team i agree with jackblack the days of jayo, forde and mc cabe r over its time to focus on younger players and develop them. Someone was saying they agreed forde was a bit of the pace but we needed him for experience well experience doesn't count if 3-4 scores come off him in a championship game.

a no. of players posted on these teams are not good enough. anton reilly, paddy mc , any team looking to make progress is better of without eddie. players like pearson, sean brady, chesty rabitte and lyng these are the type of men we need to be getting fit and ready for cavan, then lets bring through a few younger lads in next couple of years such as barry watters, adrian cole, conor smith, eugene keating, niall murray in couple of years as he looks an exceptional talent. u21 team looks promising this year.

There should be 2 players for each individual position on the panel, This would keep competition for places tight, therefore keeping all players on their toes. What is noticeable about this team is the youth thats in it if my maths are right the average age of this panel is 23. The main thing that is needed in Cavan now with regarding our senior football team is patience. Tommy Carr needs time to build a team worthy of challenging for an ulster title. If someone out there is better at maths than me and has time on there hands could you please calculate the average age of the panel in order to compare and get a better idea of the average age of the panel.

what about pierse mc kenna from kill? i hear he played great stuff for kill all year, surely hes worth a look as theres a lack of quality midfielders in the county and hes played well for cavan in the past, Also fannin from drumgoon should get a better chance than what keoghan gave him (he once held peter canavan scoreless from play), also if mc cutcheon stays injury free he should be a starter, strong, quick and can deliver good passes, chesty should also be back in there along with trevor crowe.
Overall a few more physical experienced players are essential up the middle, also a fit darren rabbitte should make the improvements needed to get cavan football back on track.

Thomas Carr should consult with the former Cavan Senior team manager Donal Keogan before he puts the finishing touches on his panel.
No better man than Donal Keogan to keep Carr on the right track and I am sure that Keogan would prefer to remain in the background now the he has retired

Conor Smith showed well at weekend against the gaels gave chesty a run around and also gave rabbit his fill of it even with very limited supply of ball, will be in contention for a corner forward position this year..... anyone agree?
