One hit wonders??

Sure Hanratty's hair is the same as it was against Down, maybe he's had the occasional trim but I wouldn't notice such a small change! Funny thing is though, he used to have much longer hair, ponytail and all, when he was underage. Think he said he'd cut it if they won the All-Ireland Colleges 'B' title, (one that mclarnon cup leads on to) with the Blayney school, and when they did he got the chop!

Someone mentioned Gerard McGrattan from Down the other day on here, all star in 2002, never seen since.

Mayo lad from 1996, John Casey I think, became a goalie last I heard.

And of course, Stephen O'Neill from Tyrone. Player of the year 2005.........

Don Davis. He was average his first year and got worse after that, yet we stuck by him for years and years.

Seamus O Neill never quite hit the heights of THAT game against Galway in the 2001 connacht semi-final. Remember that one handed catch. Also Frankie Dolan finished 2nd top scorer in the championship in 2003 and never got an all-star. Never hit those heights again.

Dublins Declan Bolger, hailed as the new Brian Mullins, physically ran into Gerry McEntee one day and don't think he ever played again. The next Brian Mullins?? what a pair of boots he had to fill.

He played centre-half back for Tyrone early in the 2003 season, and was in that position against Down in the drawn Ulster final. That was the game when Tyrone were 9 points behind, and McCrossan was taken off as Down were coming right through our defence. McCrossan obviously thought it was a harsh decision as he walked straight down the tunnel in Clones, instead of going to the bench. Harte never played him again.

McCrossan was a fine talent at underage for Tyrone. I recall he had a moustasche as a minor- not often we see that!!! Ray Cosgrove was definitely a one year wonder as was that Quigley guy who played for Limerick in the 1994 All Ireland Fianl v offaly. And of course our own Niall Healy who had a great semi final v the Cats in 2005 and hasnt been seen since!!

Yes indeed Patrique a certain mr. O'Neill has not been the same since 2005, but he has been injured...
SON was also quite nifty in 03 and How could you forget his first All-Star award in 2001.

There are so many of them, particularly 80s power ballads.
