Heard there was no senior manager appointed yesterday due to a lack of commitment from the players. Doesnt look good, but with some of the buck involved maybe the club need to take a deep look at the problem.

there is no committment from players and it is very sad to see as there are so many young, talent players coming up in the next year or two. i hear there is players meeting this week end to see who wants to play. but sure there still no managment.

Kingwillie:

Who was interested in the job in the first place to say that there wasn't enough committement from the players. All we are hearing is how comitted the minor team of last year was. I'm sure with the 16 of them you could get another few older players to commit to playing.

The DIV 1 minor league will be about the same stanard as DIV 3(really Div4) in the senior league.

Gaga, clear of back to your own club. Our club is in a crisis here, down to our players and all you can say is that Div 3 is at the same level as Grade 1 minor. Catch a grip you twat. We will come out of this stronger than people think, wait and see. Why would anyone want to put there name forward knowing the players arent committed. By the way there is only about 8 or our minors eligible for adult football. Maybe you should read the ruling on that.

You don't know what club I'm from, I wonder were you came up with that name Kingwillie, your just like rettun................

By the way I know that 3 out of the top 5 players in that minor team can't play senior football next year.

Do you not think that minor team would beat the majority teams in Div3.

Our minor team of 08 would struggle against all of the teams in Division 3. You obviously dont watch much division 3 football.

That would be Lyons, young Kennedy and Kyles(3 very good prospects especially Lyons, see him doing all the work for Killybegs Tec U16 team aswell), think they are too young to play senior this year and thats the only reason keeping them back.

Young Byrne if he keeps the head is better than any of them. Guts and determination are a sight to behold.

I am a member of the club and have been for some time, and is disappointing to see the poor attitude of our adult players over the past 4/5 years. Think its reasonable.

Kingwillie:

Is that the same adult players that were playing in the senior championship in 2003. its not the attitude of the players hat is the problem, you havn't got the players (i.e numbers I mean)

I have no doubt we have the players if the would give the club a commitment. We have probably 7 or 8 of the best footballers in our division and if the right effort was put in, we would be thereabouts at the end of the year.

kingwillie: yea outside manager but no interest. i dont think the club is in the poisition to pay somebody to train them, i heared -- was paid over ?5,000/6,000 last year by ---. what club wants to pay out that kind of money. but more committment is needed by the players. i hear declan murrin is taking the training session for the next few weeks till they find someone.

Well, how did training go under Murrin. Big numbers? Where is O'Neill and Duddy this year?
