good man derry_ledd throw derry into the quater finals for the crack. you only have them there because your a derry man. its not for football purposes anyway!! daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 15/10/2008 16:15:24 119657 Link 0 |
Daytona with players like, Sean lockhart, Kevin mccloy, Kevin Mcguckian, Fergal Doherty, Mark Lynch, Paddy Bradley, Paul Murphy, Enda Muldoon etc etc etc there is no reason why i shouldnt include them there. Sure only 2 years ago we've beat, armagh, laois and mayo in the backdoor, only to lose narrowly to dublin after missing alot of good goal chances, also semi finalists twice this decade. League champions last year also. Derry_ledd (Derry) - Posts: 2093 - 15/10/2008 16:32:54 119706 Link 0 |
and what happend to them this year? what great things have these players achieved at senior county level to make them quater final material? perenial qualifier strigglers is more like it. daytona11 (Kildare) - Posts: 4012 - 15/10/2008 16:37:59 119730 Link 0 |
To be fair daytona has a point but with improved direction they stand a good chance of making the quarters.who can tell at this stage anyway? northpole (Derry) - Posts: 739 - 15/10/2008 17:26:28 119817 Link 0 |
Your right Northpole, and Daytona I admit there may be a slight bias there, but I am an eternal optimist, one year will be our year! Derry_ledd (Derry) - Posts: 2093 - 16/10/2008 09:02:57 120098 Link 0 |

It's a golden opportunity for Donegal to get to the Ulster final, if they start well under the new management they should definately be getting there. They're second favourites for Ulster behind Tyrone, that says it all. They were only 5th in line before the draw. Although Down are 16-1 for the title, definately the value bet or at least a good one for e/w. mid-mon man (Monaghan) - Posts: 1680 - 16/10/2008 16:16:55 120541 Link 0 |

Think its between Mayo/Galway in connaught but ill be keeping an eye on Leitrim - they could be dangerous if MM gets things right. Spuddy (Mayo) - Posts: 345 - 19/10/2008 18:13:33 122026 Link 0 |
Spuddy, in all honesty as much as I would love to see the Dubs lift her i can't see it happening, the Dubs had their best chance in '07, i don't know if Wheelo, Jaco and Ryan (Added the o's especially for the Dubs reading so they'd know who I meant...lol) will continue their inter-county career. Reddoctor, you haven't changed a bit, you are still an arrogant little --. We get it you hate Derry big deal. I'm alot younger than you and I was cheering for Tyrone on and here you are slagging Derry off. Catch yourself on. Also, a total hypocrite, maybe not as long as go as 3 months ago you were calling for Mickey Harte head, saying pigs will fly if tyrone win this years all Ireland etc. Bet you were in Croker on AI final day? Now your saying that Tyrone already have their place in the AI final this year. Listen to yourself would ye. Niamh (Derry) - Posts: 2397 - 20/10/2008 12:05:42 122352 Link 0 |
