where and when John? might dust the oul boots off and give it a go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean if some of the players that got there last year are still in the running then i may have a hope?????????????

seriously though that is very good news if its true and i hope having the trials will be more than just a pr exercise.

the management team is made up of an outside manager as well as selectors who represent 3 of the 4 districts in the county. add to this that all members of the management have proved themself in championship football and were leaders when leaders were needed in tight championship games. despite their lack of management experience i do believe they are qualitifed to pick the best panel of players we have in sligo. this may not be enough to bring sucess due to their lack of experience but i do believe they are best qualified to pick the panel of players. remember scoring 10 points in a non event game against a poor defender is no basis for claiming a place on the county team and we need selectors who can spot the type of player we need when the chips are down.

Dont think they've got a pitch yet. Its not an open trial but heard a few lads were invited to it. The management team must be loging onto hoganstand :P

so they have called it an " open " trial but have invited players to it also?? cant understand that lads really cant i mean how is that an open trial?

if they were logging in here then i would assume that redmond and o'reilly will be on the panel and also a few others?

Just heard they've been holding trials lately along with U-21 trials. Hope to see a few new faces on there. Sligo needs to strenghten midfield and forwardd and with management and selector having played there I hope they get the right men for the job

Is it true the Geevagh boys are gone from the panel after a row between K Sweeney and one of the selectors?
