So who do you think will win Liam - Cork or Limerick ???" Tyrone and Galway both could beat us. We're probably 3 or 4 points favourites against them but I'm nervous about this weekend with Tyrone having had a good break. That'll make up a lot of the difference. As for the hurling - I don't know why you're discounting either Clare or Galway. Clare have work to do in defence but they've so many good hurlers and any time they've had Tony Kelly and Shane O Donnell fit they've been right there. It's annoying having to trawl through duplicate variations of Topic titles on the same subjects. There also seems to be one or two posters who are constantly creating click bait Topics. Dublin 23 and Armagh 24 give Kerry no basis whatsoever to be giddy about playing D2 opponents. The performances of Down and Westmeath this year. I think Louth could beat Mayo tbh. Very little between the 2 teams. Both Meath and Cork left it behind for different reasons v Mayo, it could be argued. A work colleague of mine from Armagh reckons Kerry would beat the best 15 of the 3 remaining challengers to the Munster men. Possibly a bit far fetched…. ?! Yes it seems the narrative is Mayo are the worst team left and the OTB boys have Tyrone ahead of us (fail to mention they were v lucky to beat Mayo by a point with a dodgy free). Not arguing that Louth cant beat Mayo i 100% think they can and possibly will. Dublin can also beat Mayo but Mayo can also beat Louth and Dublin ther eisnt much between these 3 teams. Mayo have improved considerably since the Roscommon game, and you can't just reduce every result to "the other team left it behind them." By that logic you could say Tyrone left it behind them against Kerry, Armagh and Monaghan left it behind them against Louth, and Wicklow, Cavan, Donegal and Galway left it behind them against Dublin. At some point you've got to give credit where it's due and judge teams on what they're actually producing over the past few weeks, not just what their opponents didn't do on the day. I don't think it's an unfair narrative to say Mayo are the worst of the 4 left. Kerry are clearly number 1, and there's not much between the other 3, a lot of the time it comes down to on the day. Meath left an awful lot behind against Mayo and should have been out of sight at half time, Cork kicked an awful lot of wides against Mayo too, and Roscommon were easy enough winners over you. Louth will take confidence from that, there's very little between Meath, Louth and Cork, so you can stack that form against Mayo. But Mayo do have a lot of star quality around the place, and maybe Louth won't be able to cope with you, but I think they'll win.
