Na Piarsaigh (Limerick) v Ballygunner (Waterford) will start the Munster championship in November. Both have plenty of experience and strong All Ireland ambitions. Should be a cracking start!
Only the Tipperary representative is yet to be confirmed.

Ballygunner
Loughmore Castleleiney
Sarsfields - Cork
Na Piarsaigh
Eire Og - Clare

Munster club SHC
Na Piarsaigh (Limerick) v Ballygunner (Waterford), Sunday, 3.30pm

Ballygunner are favourites for Munster championship. Na Piarsaigh should be a good test of that in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday. Has the makings of a cracking opener.
The winner will have home advantage against Sarsfields in two weeks time. Eire Og and Loughmore Castleleiney will contest the other semi final in Ennis.

I'd fancy Na Piarsiagh to beat Ballygunner. 9/4 is good value.

Overall betting still very odd. 14/1 Sars and 22/1 Na Piarsiagh a bit long compared to Ballygunner at 11/5 which is a bit mad.

Leinster very open.

I think the winner of NAP/BG will go on and win Munster and give the AI a serious rattle. I don't know what to think about SARS and have this nagging feeling that BG sleepwalked into that game last year. That said, the other side of Ennis and LC will also present a tough challenge.

Re Leinster, I think if Ballyhale really want it, it's there's for the taking. Some serious talent in that team, plus the King is back with a point to prove!

I could see a new champion in Leinster. Martins will give Na Fianna their fill of it in Wexford Park and I wouldn't rule out Kilcormac taking Shamrocks, assuming thats how the draw pans out.

Munster is minefield. Cork people seem incredibly dubious of Sars! their defeat of Ballygunner was no fluke and I don't think that BG are either improving or as likely to win either Munster or AI as betting suggests.

Na Fianna were lucky last week. Not taking from Lucan who got the match ups right but a few of their big names had bad day out.. They'll be hard beat. Have run up some run of wins. Only two defeats in three years? and one of them a meaningless Dublin group game.

the odds I saw were NaP 13/2 (not great odds since they have to win 3 tough games), BG 5/4 on, and LC 7/2

Clearly the bookies dont think BG are slipping
BG are 2/1 on to beat NP who are 3/1. Good odds for NaP IMHO
I know BG are used by now to the long break but it has to be a hard for them to get up to speed. NaP had a 2 week gap and are well used to winning county finals. Last year Doon only had a week off and were celebrating their first ever county- and they almost upset BG
For a lot of the NaP lads this could be their last try for a second club AI. Dowling, Breen, Downes all well into their thirties. And several other 30+
