Keegan was one of the best players I've ever seen, and generally a man for the big occasion. I was just questioning the nonsense by the previous poster that he had never been outscored by an opponent when playing as a half-back, or never been outplayed. No matter how good a player, they've all had their bad days. The Connacht Final in 2020 was just one which came to mind, where Shane gave him a lot of trouble. I'd rate Séamus Moynihan as one of the best to ever do it, but even in his prime he had a fairly chastening day against Meath in 2001. To top it off, at one stage in the match Graham Geraghty sent him flying with a shoulder, which was very rare to see for someone as physically strong and tenacious as Moynihan. Michael Donnellan makes my team all day long also. Had the misfortune of being on the opposing side against Dunmore McHales in a random midweek tournament around 2000. I don't think he was meant to be playing and I think O Mahony was raging when he got wind of it. That man could fly. Absolutely ridiculous speed. If any posters from the West can remember the details of this competition because I can't remember the finer details but I think the winners received a trip to New York.
