Could Senior Poster Organise A Christmas Ball

(Oldest Posts First)

Tomsmith here

I have used the term Christmas Ball instead of a wee Christmas get together.
AS a senior Poster I am throwing it out to all
Sure it would be great to meet Red and green from Mayo, say nothing from County Tyrone and ough how I would love to meet Viking 66., Ulster Man
I suppose Killing fields from away in Limerick would have to be included .
Sure a central place would be Cavan Town and I am aware , that the home of all good conversation is the Imperial
I will throw it out and see who you would long to meet in the flesh and why

Good man Tom. Only a Cavan man would contend that Cavan Town would be a central location in the 32 counties. Never miss a chance to turn a few bob. Somewhere like Kilbeggan, with a drop of the ould Mountain Dew to help loosen the tongues, would be more central ?. I'm gone too arthritic to travel anyway. Ould bones creaking.

That would be grand if the Caaaavan men don't wear there jeans with the long pockets. You know what you lot are like, short arms and long pockets when it comes to buying drink.

Is it invite only or what do I need to do to get on the list? I'm in Melbourne but home by Christmas, are you offering travel expenses Tom?

After all the travelling us Donegal supporters have had to do all year, it's only right that any HS function be held in The Abbey Donegal town. ;-)

Should attendees dress like it is 1947 to honour the occasion?

Judging by the quality of posts, it would have to be formal attire. I'd imagine Mrs Tom S would settle for no less.

I might be way off the mark here- but maybe they meet/have met each other in person and the topic came up?
I know who a few Galway and Mayo posters are for this reason.
