Ought the great Mrs T often cautions me that I put too much effort into pleasing others . So now back to the Christmas do, could we have a decision either Cavan ( The great Mrs T extended family do room only ) or is it away up in Kells. I will await the responses" Posting at 04.48 is either a lad on his way home from a mighty night out or a lad starting his day's work….

Replying To Viking66: "Will there be a free bar?" The crunch question indeed.
A HS meet-up has been mentioned for years but the answer to this question might just swing it …..

tomsmith here
A free Bar ough its odious that such a question would be asked of H S. My feeling is if we got the meal sponsored it would be great . What we could do would be have a whip around before the speeches and have a fund and as long as it lasts drink away. Or maybe the more vocal posters would feel obliged to put up a drink for the house or at least for the organisers . Likely candidates / posters for prizes to be given on the night has yet to be decided .

Tomsmith here
In relation to prizes I would suggest that an independent person ( the great Hrs T has offered to act ) would select a short list of people for each group from No 1 to no 4,
I feel that while you would be a good runner for a prize at No 4 you may have stiff competition

This event could prove quite popular. I've discussed this with my fellow senior posters via the "HS Legends" whatsapp group and we've decided it should be split into 3 groups. Being a GAA event it naturally will be graded as follows
Senior: 10,000+ posts Intermediate: 5,000 - 9,999 posts Junior: 1 - 4,999 posts
Dates and venues are tbc, but we've made initial enquiries for The Croke Park Hotel Executive Lounge (Senior), The Boar's Head (Intermediate), and The Dawson Lounge (Junior).
Also potential special guests were discussed. We hope to get Uachtarán Cumann Lúthchleas Gael and multiple all-stars across codes for the senior event. For the intermediate, we might potentially get some podcasters or snapchat heroes. Then for the Junior perhaps myself or 1 or 2 or HS legends could pop in depending on who's going that way on the day.

But Breffni40 the question has to be asked, are you Tom Smith?

Hold on there, Tom and the great Mrs T are only making the junior event in that case?
