Gaa Should Isist On Toll Free Roads To Croke Park On Big Match Days

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I think the Gov should issue a once off 'Cost of the Championship' COTC payment of 500 euros to every Donegal fan given the gruelling season we have had so far.
and now that we have to travel all the way south to the big smoke again to play the Munster and Nation League Champions, it doesn't get any easier.
I think that's only fair, we could throw a few coins in a bucket going through Caavan to help out Tom and his like.

Tirconill when youse go up to Gaa Hq and play in as many All Ireland as we did youse will be a happy bunch ( we also played all ireland in Newyork 1947) , but once Jim departs for L,, Derry management role you will have a much lowr profile in Ulster.
Anyway youse will always be welcome in the Imperial in Cavan Town the home of Cavan Gaa where as the great Mrs T often says to me, that I get get inspiration from visiting it and I share it freely to less educated Gaa folk

I feel that Gaa should insist VIA Gaa friendly TDs that all Roads should be Toll free on Sunday . Barriers up and honesty buskets spread along the roadside where one could put a donation . I know whatthe cost of an Ireland day is , Toll money , one has to pay at Berkley Road Church ( and put in an envelope again at hope next week ) Lock hard waiting for money when he parks you, match ticket , programme, small eats at HT and fuel. coupley with stopping at a shop once one returns back to Cavan for minerals
Ough its expensive match day and I forgot one has that dreaded look on the windscreen and the also see that the front wheel is not tethered once you return to ones car

The earth will have disappeared into a black hole or burned up by an exploding sun and Westmeath will still have never been in an all Ireland final

I'm 44 years on this planet. In that time Westmeath have won 1 Leinster title and Cavan have won 1 Ulster title. Anything that went before is folklore irrelevant because we were not there. Suppose we will always have Talteann 2022.....

Well I'm also 44 years on this planet and it's actually 2 Ulster titles, perhaps you were on the moon for one of them. I don't remember any documentaries about either of them so I suppose they're easy to forget

Oh yes, the covid one, forgot that. My apologies. Any truth in the rumour you are taking McCabe back off our hands?

Feck it I'll put one post up on this thread anyway.

I'd of thought an aul lad from Cavan would remember well the old N3 which has no tolls on it? And pushbikes don't use petrol or diesel, so there's another money saving thought for you!

An important context to these threads is that it is incredibly unlikely that Tom is from Cavan and all your hilarious and deeply witty retorts to him are simply you falling for his troll posts like simpleton rubes. Fr Cyril McDuff saying "Better luck next time" springs to mind

You are protesting too much and trying to disown him.
His username says Cavan so Cavan until proven otherwise.

Well regardless of where he's actually from, he knows a lot of you are like a coiled spring waiting to unleash the cAvAn PEoPlE ArE mEaN dUr DuR dUr hilarity.

And on the Cavan page he knows many on there have a simmering dislike of Cavan Gaels so he'll make an obvious troll post and it boils over and people can't help themselves from responding.

Fish in a barrel stuff

Its Grotesque , Bizarre , unpresented and unbelievable that a senior poster like Tomsmith would be the subject of such negative tripe.
A poster of such high standing who was implored upon to reconsider his departure from H, S recently.
His posts have been , informative , educational impressive, and according to the great Mrs T outstanding in quality and content. My main concern is that Killing Fields ( Ough what a Horrible handle )from away down in LImerick would have a contribution
