Replying To brayballer:  "Murphy gets away with lots.Should have got the line against Meath.Donegal feel he the victim always but def not true. Hope Kerry win final. I was talking to a fellow Dub last night and he said he never ever shouts for Kerry but he will v Donegal."
Michael Murphy suffers a lot of abuse, kinda like we seen when he made his 2025 league debut in Ballybofey against Armagh and Armagh's Aidan Forker headbutted him in the chest. He gets targeted off the ball a lot, defenders have his jersey nearly ripped off him in most games.

As for accusations that he gets away with a lot, that's not true, he is a big unit and sometimes his challenges can seem high or heavy handed, but usually that is the size and weight difference and not intentional.
I was recently annoyed to see posters from Derry and Armagh of all places posting a lot of online stuff about Murphy getting away with a lot, obviously with the intention to get rumours out in public and maybe get him booked or sent off in scenarios where the ref doesn't get a clear view of a tackle.

I'd say the real Dubs were glad he emigrated to Wicklow, pity for Wicklow though in fairness, I'd say they are sick of the likes of him squatting in their fine county.
Looking forward to the brayballbags comments if we win this final!

Born and bred Dub and proud of it.I supported the auld enemy Meath too v donegal.Tbh I would support anyone against Donegal.Your fans that i have come across are upstarts not very sporting. Donegal always think they deserve special favours and complain about everything and yes Murphy gets away with a lot. .I will admit he is a great player though.Thats the Mayo side i think

Meath as well? Mercy above, you'd be thrown out of the Hill by the real Dubs for admitting that.

I'd say you never even knew Dublin had a team before they went on the six in a row. You probably only started supporting them when Liverpool were going through their sticky patch.

Plastic Dub.

Your support certainly tipped the scales for meath, Kerry will probably send you up, a ticket, such will be their gratitude, when you jump across to their bandwagon!

Hopefully Kerry by 8-10 points but I'd be happy with 1 point. The more I hear of McGuinness the more he sounds like a ****, the bit about not wanting to get a replay in 2014 says it all. Never seen Kerry as popular among neutral fans when playing a team not Tyrone or Dublin in final. I think a lot of people will be very smug if Donegal are bet

You have nt a clue. Meath were great rivals of Dublin but we are glad to see them doing well again. I d be fairly sure that when Meath were playing Donegal most Dubs would prefer to see Meath win.

Murphy is one of the cleanest footballers I've ever seen.

Utterly obsessed. It can't be healthy to be this bitter.

Ah he is also known to get away with stuff in all fairness.

I really like him as a player and rate him very highly, but he has crossed the line on more than one occasion.
Clearly frustrated at times with the perceived lack of protection he sometimes gets.
Himself and DC are exceptional players - and both well able to dish it out also.

I might be biased but I always thought Bernard Brogan was one of the cleanest footballers ever.
And he was on the receiving end of some nasty stuff.

Ah that's great. I'm now a bit more confident. I don't think you win many bets if memory services me right?
