I'm fine with the other Quarterfinals being in Croke Park but the Dublin-Tyrone match shouldn't be. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2566 - 23/06/2025 11:28:03 2620197 Link 1 |
Aren't the 10 year tickets for Croke Park sold on the basis that all the football QFs will be there? trimmer (Meath) - Posts: 550 - 23/06/2025 12:05:39 2620223 Link 1 |
Why? Give reasons why you think it shouldn't be played in croke park

Dubs will, as always, play where we're put. MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13827 - 23/06/2025 12:42:21 2620253 Link 1 |
Unfortunately since 2002, all quarter finals have been played in Croke Park. This followed a motion by Roscommon to Congress, when they won the Connacht title in 2001 & didn't get a game in Croke Park. Would need to go to Congress to get that changed

Home advantage is worth 2-3 points in a GAA match. tirawleybaron (Mayo) - Posts: 1458 - 23/06/2025 12:51:42 2620259 Link 1 |
Why not ? That's a ridiculous statement . Just cause its the Dubs ? . Haha quarter finals have an always will be in croker . You seem a bit worried there about the Dubs ... S1234 (Mayo) - Posts: 231 - 23/06/2025 12:51:57 2620260 Link 3 |
If you want to bate Dublin play them in Hq. Their record there this year is dismal. SimonstownBack (Meath) - Posts: 168 - 23/06/2025 13:15:45 2620277 Link 2 |
Supporters like you Tyrone don't need enemies.

Nothing beats beating the Dubs in Croke Park. Croke Park or nowhere. Keep all games before the quarterfinals out of Croke Park. Saynothing (Tyrone) - Posts: 2351 - 23/06/2025 13:38:23 2620290 Link 1 |
2001 was the first year of the 'back door' in football. Roscommon won Connacht but lost the All Ireland quarter final to Galway in a match played on a damp August evening in McHale Park in Castlebar. Galway went on to win the All Ireland.

If Tyrone are 1 point better they win.

Probably not but if you say that then no AI final should be in Croker either if Dublin are in it.Really nothing you can do about it.Double headers will be sellouts on both days. Alwaysencourage (Galway) - Posts: 511 - 23/06/2025 13:42:22 2620295 Link 0 |

Tyrone like Dublin are playing in fits and starts. If con is back I think that will swing it their way. Midfield will be some battle.
