Good luck to the team on Sunday. Give it everything and see where it gets us. No shame in losing as long as we leave it all out on the field like the old days we will be proud.

Tickets are getting very scarce for Sunday now and it appears it won't be far off full capacity, you'd have to imagine they'll be at least 30 k meath fans there which would be great to see, Nally stand open now so like the leinster final hill 16 will be a sea of green, Good to see Costello and O Neill named on the squad really looking forward to this now I'm going for narrow 2 point Meath win.

Replying To Cabbagepatch1667:  "To be fair, Meath haven't had any games broadcast on TV aside from the Leinster Final. So not surprised our players are coming in under the radar. But I don't think any Meath player is in the running for player of the year, but we certainly should have a few all star nominations.

Caufield has been as good as any half back in the country, he doesn't get the recognition because he doesn't player for Kerry or Dublin etc.. Kinsella has been absolutely immense, but again games not on TV so the only people appreciating this is those who go to the games. Both should be all star contenders. Costello was player of the month in April but he's been largely injured so hard to make a case.

But Craig Lennon and Sam Mulroy will get the All Star ahead of them because even though they made a mess of the group stages, they won Leinster and that's what people remember. I wouldn't worry too much about it. People will know who Meath players are over the next few years."
Who cares what national media thinks or bookies odds. True Meath supporters know exactly the quality and level of performances these Meath players have given. I suspect more will be aware along the way. Football landscape is changing if not changed already and there is still an arrogance of so called establishment that will in time be wiped away. Enjoy the ride as it will be surprising and upsetting for some.

This Meath team is going to Croke Park on Sunday with one ambition and ambition only. Win the game. They don't do moral victories.

Replying To Irish_downunder:  "I'd Honestly hold Costello back and spring him before half time if really needed but i think 5 10 mins into second half if we are in the hunt he would bring some serious energy into it and might help pin them up the feild."
Costello is without a doubt our best player, no other county would wait to spring their best player for bit of energy. Quarter final you start your best 15 if their fit

Would agree he has to start if fully fit but if not fit might be good to spring him from the bench like we did with Jones v Dublin if the game is in the melting pot.

Not sure about 30 thousand of us on Sunday?Apart from the Leinster final which was a novelty for some, we have had around 6/10 thousand fans at the rest of the games obviously the 10 ( higher attendance)when in Navan .I hope you're right and the county gets behind the lads and drives them on.

Best of luck to the lads tomorrow.
We in bonus territory now, I'm sure RB has his homework done and the plan will be not to concede goals. Galway have been scoring goals for fun and if we can keep them out we have a massive chance.
I expect Rafferty to pick up Walsh , we will need to be very disciplined in defence and hopefully can pick up our fair share of 2 pointers. If we play with the same intensity as against Kerry we have a massive chance. All the pressure is on Galway.

No surprises so far Tyrone and Donegal doing the job. So bookies were right as now. Hopefully that comes to end tomorrow with a Meath win. Not many pundits given Meath a chance either. Which surprises me but dose not shock me. I and hoping the the loss to Louth last time in Croke park will drive Meath over the line. I think Players and Management learn big lesson for Leinster final.

If we are to win today Hogan has to have a good day with his kickouts .
His kickouts have been poor all year and if that continues today we wont win .
Galway will have seen that and will push up even more on him and they are good at that anyway but i think that gives Hogan a chance to go long today .
Hogan is more important today than any outfield player if he gets the ball in play we have the players to win but a repeat of the second half of the louth game and these galway forwards will punish us .

Best of luck to Robbie and team today. Really looking forward to it. It's great to have Meath back at the business end of the All Ireland and what a great group of lads to get behind. I'm optimistic we will give a good account of ourselves and be competitive around the field. Whether that's good enough to win remains to be seen. I worry about midfield, that's will be the making or breaking of us. Galway have size and energy in their two midfielders and while we have been excellent at winning breaks I think we will struggle to get on top if Galway win the clean ball. Hopefully Costello is fit to start, if not he is a great option off the bench. Fingers crossed for another famous Meath win.

While his kickouts have been a bit erratic,he has made some crucial saves and also popped over a few crucial 2 pointers.Ypu could also say the same about the Galway keeper has had jittery moments as well so maybe that will cancel each other out?

Best of luck to all the team today! Regardless of the result we've seen some massive progress and there's optimism the like we haven't seen for nearly two decades. All the pressure on Galway.

What a game, best display in a long long time. Rafferty going off ? cost us big time, Galway scored 2.2 in that period. The never say die attitude was on view all over the field, played with great confidence and some outstanding displays from Rafferty, Caulfield, Menton and Jordie M. Conor Grey shored up a very good midfield. But this was a team effort and a fully deserved victory. Well done to all.
