Clare, Limerick, Tipperary And Waterford Ruining Munster Football And All Ireland Championship?

With all due respects, the winners of a Tipperary v Waterford quarter final will be a disappointing draw. It is important to be road tested as seen during the All Ireland Ulster championship battles against Cavan, Armagh and Tyrone on route to the final. It is surprising Clare and Limerick haven't pushed for seeding of the 3rd and 4th seeds in the quarter final draw. Clare and Limerick would come out swinging with a free hit. The delegates of Clare and Limerick need to pull up their socks.

Pulling up socks was never the mantra of any Limerick county board.

Tom Parsons suggesting there might be some boycott from Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford footballers. They want to meet with the Munster Council. Parsons saying if league seeding is used, possibly it should be an agreement across all provinces.

I suppose it will come down to what's more important. The integrity of the tournament, or plain old greed.

Munster Council cleaning up already with the SHC.
SFC income is only loose change in comparison.

If the Munster Council want to be really fair to all teams, probably best to play the Munster football championship on a league basis like the Munster hurling. That will surely see the best two teams in the final.

There would be a good flow to the inter county season if the provincial draws were after the league, using league seeding for balanced provincial draws. Different opinions on this granted but it would give something else to play for.
Down, Fermanagh and Antrim could be looking to get the 7th ranked Ulster spot to avoid the preliminary round. Clare and Limerick looking to catch Cork to avoid the quarter finals. Kildare, Westmeath and Offaly looking to ensure they are top 5 in Leinster to avoid the preliminary round. More to play for!
Connacht complicated with London and New York. They can still keep the rotation of playing London and New York. The highest ranked of the other 3 counties with a bye to the semi finals. The top 2 ranked on opposite sides of the semi final draw. (Obviously a doubt over New York's long-term participation in the Connacht championship due to costs. That's a different matter.)
