If Cork Hurlers play to their potential, then no one will stop them now.

But hopefully the Dubs meet them on an off day, this weekend. ;o)

Based on today - Cork will NOT be stopped.
Very formidable team.

I honestly think it is theirs to lose.

About time they brought Liam home....!

Cork are the kind of team that if they get a run on you, they will hurt you. Dublin were brave going man to man, maybe they were foolish

Cork have some lovely, lovely hurlers, and are big, strong and physical with forwards that are deadly
But Limerick showed those forwards can be contained. Twice (almost)
Tipp have experienced what Cork can do to you but once was with 14 men
Not sure if Kilkenny have played at that level this year; they need Tipp to put it up to them tomorrow if they are going to have any chance
Whoever gets to the final Cork will be hot favorites with all the pressure so it will be in a way a free hit
Whatever happens Cork won't run riot in the final but you would have to say for Cork to lose it now they will have to underperform in the final regardless of who they play

Hurlings kingpins. The true home of hurling! The natural stickmen!

I think what should be actually commended, and why I've such respect for Cork hurling, is the culture in the county. I love the game, and have been in all counties. They're manic for hurling in places, grow up with a hurl.

But there's simply something different with Cork hurling. The culture in the county. That doesn't follow the rest. They play a certain way. Win or lose, they persist playing "real hurling". But it's the pride they take in it.

Cork hurling is "separate" to the rest of the country, it's a unique culture and philosophy they have with the game. It produces a feeling and deftness of touch within their players, the great stickmen they are often called.

I can't really put my finger on it, but Cork hurling is simply different. I hope this post gets through, it's not wumming, but I think the Cork philosophy should be commended, their unique culture and outlook on the game.

The purveyors of natural and fluid hurling. Their intricate pace, movement and skill. No county has ever got close to their level in the technical skills of the game. With the greatest of respect to Kilkenny and Tipp, Cork are just different. Win or lose, an absolute joy to watch in full flight!

I'm serious when I say others will have to adapt how they now produce players to compete with Cork. Cork are ten years ahead of the rest, in terms of how technically proficient their players are!"

You were saying?"
I was saying Cork are by far the best team in the country!

I hope this is posted for fairness. I was ridiculed and laughed at for my opinions on Cork hurling earlier in the thread. Called a Wum, as I have been on several threads.

But yet again, what I said is playing true!

It's called massive playing numbers. They have more than twice the number of adult hurling teams Kilkenny have, and more than 3 times the number of underage hurling teams that Kilkenny have. By law of averages they should be winning All Irelands on a regular basis like they used to.
For them not to have won any AI in nearly 20 years would imply that the Cork way, or style, isn't the most successful, given their huge numbers advantage.

You never want to have your best day in a semi final. You want to fall over the line ideally!
But Cork were unreal yesterday, powerful performance and fair play to them.
I wouldn't rule out the winners today just yet.

Fair point tbh.

Cork Hurlers should be winning Liam a lot more often.

But they will get back to winning it this year for sure.

They were formidable yesterday.

The Cork philosophy and culture within the county is special. You'll do anything but accept that. It's "real" hurling!

By reading your post , you would think cork have won 4 all Irelands in a row. This team have won nothing except one Munster. If they win back to back then I will call them great
