They had a preseason group photo of the lads in their club colours, but they never put out a listed League panel afaik.

Surprising there are very few posts on the wexford football forum.
Here we are with two great wins to date and playing some great football. Yet they are almost ignored.
There are some very important games in the pipeline. Home games against Down, Sligo and Westmeath. The lads surely deserve our support and really might help to get us over the line on home soil.
They are riding high at present. Let's hope the bubble doesn't burst today at 1. 00 pm against the shannonsiders. I believe we are capable of another win in Rathkeale and if we do it would probably keep us in divison 3. Or maybe get promoted .
However long way to go so let's not get carried away.
Verdict for today --- Wexford to win by 2 points.

Agreed,

Would be a huge win today if they pull it off.

Hope so, it will be tough up there. Apparently we have a bit of the wind behind us. Missed a few 2 pointers already.

3rd time in 4 years we are caught by last minute goal, v london [hegarty 1st game] v leitrim , and today i think

How did we manage to lose that game.
In control for most of it and looked comfortable in the final stretch.
Leading by 4 points going into injury time and we were penalised for having only two up. They got a 2 pointer as the ball was moved up.
We were still 2 up and looked like winners but a mix up in the defence allowed them to sneak in and get the killer goal and snatch a 1 point win.
We could and should have won but that's how the cookie crumbles.
It does show us however that we are well capable of competing at this level and with tasty games to come against Down, Clare, Westmeath and Sligo we are very much in the hunt for a crack at promotion. All to look forward to.
As 3 of the above games are at home I would encourage everyone that can to get out and support the lads. They deserve it.

Disappointing loss considering Limerick only had 6 players from last year starting.

Limerick have a couple new lads in from other counties this year, plus they had some retirements. Not sure they are exactly weaker, they had 10 lads on the pitch for the last 20 minutes or so today that played in the Tailteann Cup Final.
We are currently missing as starters Martin O'Connor, Shane Pettit, Darragh Lyons, Eoghan Nolan (though he came on in the second half), Ben Brosnan, and Donal Shanley isnt up to speed yet after being away a couple of years.
We have new lads staking claims for places the very same as Limerick.

Absolutely gutted with the result yesterday, but really couldn't have been prouder of the lads. Some of the shooting in the first half was wayward and rushed, but their second half performance against the wind was immense.
It was a shame that there seemed to be a communication breakdown in last few minutes, firstly getting caught on a number breach which cost 2 poonts,, and then a total mix up for their goal.
It's still a wide open group with everything still to play for. We've 3 home games, plus a trip to Clare, still to come so get and support these lads......god knows they deserve it.
