Replying To zinny:  "Couldn't make it today but listening to it on SER there seemed to be a big improvement in midfield, how did the kickouts go today?"
Mixed bag, a few shockers with one short one straight to Antrim lad who banged in a goal, midfield was v good most of game, Coleman caught a lot of ball.

Don't think it's that many? Lyons, Pettit, O'Connor I'd say out for next weekend, but Darraghs out all year. Not sure about Byrne and Nolan.

Great performance by the lads yesterday.
5 - 23 was a massive score in 76 minutes of football. Although it has to be said that Antrim were very poor on the day.
For about 65 minutes we were totally dominant and ran Antrim ragged.
I was worried before the game that our midfield might under perform but both Hughes and Coleman were superb and launched many attacks.
Brooks was deadly accurate with the long range frees/ 45s.
Overall this was a team performance. Slick passing, clever decision making and would have won by more than 11 points if the bench wasn't emptied late on. Well done to the team and management.
We are now back on track and the win yesterday will give us great confidence in the next round.
At the time of writing I don't know who we will draw but whoever it is we shouldn't be fearful.
Another win would be great and hopefully we can rattle a few more cages on the way.
Sad to see Martin O'connor sustaining what looked like a serious injury. He is an out and out warrior and is a key cog in the team. We wish him well in his recovery.

Not to put a dampener on a fine win, but was looking back at the score updates on Twitter, and in the 15 minutes between our fourth goal (59 minutes) and fifth goal (74 minutes), Antrim outscored us by 2-11 to 0-2.

Didn't really matter since we were never going to be caught, but still, it's the same sort of pattern that allowed Carlow to earn a draw with us, when we probably should have seen out the closing stages as well. Hope it doesn't happen next weekend!

Hope so too Pikeman! I'm looking forward to the trip up already! I'm nearly hoping it's in a smaller ground for atmosphere, though I do like the Gaelic Grounds.

Antrim dominated the kick outs in the final 12 or 13 minutes. That coincided with Nial Hughes and others been substituted.
Im pretty sure they would not have got 2.11 if Hughes had stayed on. Plus several starters were taken off when the game was in the bag. Also Martin O'connor's withdrawl due to injury was unlucky and unfortunate.
Antrim took advantage when we made the changes and did peg us back somewhat.
We did however finish them off completely with a late goal.
It's Limerick up next ( away)
Time for revenge.

Probably be in Rathkeale, a nice ground, something like bellefield. We'll know later today.

No lack of motivation for this one anyway

I'd expect it to be Rathkeale all right. That's where they played all three of their home League games this year, and their home match in the TC group too.

Plus, I noticed when looking at the Munster Hurling Final that the pitch at the Gaelic Grounds isn't even marked for football with the 40m arc or the dashed halfway line all across the field. They'll hardly mark it this week for the sake of just one match that Rathkeale could accommodate anyway.

Looking forward to it. Its a game we can win but we will have to have our best performance of the season given our injury list but we are capable of it. The loss of Martin O Connor is huge

Are any of the injured players who missed Sundays game likely to be back for the Limerick game?

Small correction yellaman.
The game starts at 3.45 not 3.35 according to the Wexford Gaa fixture list published today.

I enjoyed Rathkeale, good atmosphere & banter.
Gaelic grounds will be even worse than Wexford park on football days.

That might be a benefit to us? Rather than a loud Limerick following?
