All the hurling tiered championships have their day in Croke Park. I have always maintained that if the All-Ireland intermediate championship had been run properly it would be on a par with the Joe McDonagh Cup now. You could easily have a 16 team competition with the existing McDonagh teams, the top Christy Ring teams and the intermediate teams from the strong counties all competing.

The fixtures were announced around this time last year. Would expect they'll be announced by mid December at the latest.
