Tá an ceart ag Breffni39 agus ba cheart duinn ar sheacht ndícheall a dheanamh Gaeilge a labhairt ( nó a scríobh ) le cheile. Tá teanga galanta againn agus muna bainifimid úsaid asti, caillfimid í go cinnte. Is cuma go bhfuil an gaeilge líofa agatsa nó nach bhfuil. BAIN ÚSAID ASTI. Bíodh bród oraibh. Má tá an Ghaeilge agat, labhair í.

I'll bring the mother altogether she can make a few sambo's while i fight for her honor somewhere around athlone!

Sound. I'll ask the auld doll to come along and she might make one of her apple tarts. They are mighty all together. And sure if we finish the feast we might even have time to rumble like Sean Thornton and Will Danagher!!

If i win i get her too ;)

The last winning captain from Dublin gave his acceptance speech in Latin :-)

Is Aughabrack English the same as Ulster-Scots (a fine rustic blend of country words and Buckfast) and, if so, did Brian Dooher get a grant from the Ulster-Scots Agency through Lord Laird Artigarvan for his promotion of the "hamely" tongue?

LOL.
Nice one, Gotta respect county men that can have a laugh at themselves.

Maybe you can teach the mayo/clare bunch how to do this might make them a bit more bareable.

Mayo posts normally go as follows.

" Mayo bla bla bla brilliant...... robbed.... bla bla bla..... 2nd most consistant team..... bla bla bla conor mortimer..... bla bla Ciarán McDonald..... bla bla bla."

They tend to obmit the year 1951 from posts.

To be honest didn't have much of an opinion on mayo when i started posting on HS, but that's changed over the last few years.

Think everyone knows where i stand on the way clare supporters act.

Kieran Mc geeneys speech was the first non gaelige speech by a captain when lifting Sam.
In our own county we have a Gaelige PRO who is in the process of compiling a speech Watch this space
