Croke Park is a 5 minute walk away from Drumcondra Station. 15 mins walk away from Connolly Station. 15 mins walk away Red Line Luas 20 mins walk from Green Line Luas 5 mins walk away from all the buses that go up Dorset St/Drumcondra Road and Summerhill/Ballybough Multiple other bus routes within 10/15 min walk. City Centre and all its public transport links within 25 minute walk of the stadium. Tens of thousands of people also live within walking distance of the ground itself. Salthill is a nightmare. A lad from Castlebar once told me he was home faster from a Croker than Salthill. That said if you know all the rat runs in and around Galway and leave 5mins before the end of a game you can get out very fast. That's what I do anyway.

I don't disagree - however if I get a train I get dropped in Huston and have to get on a luas. If I drive I get stuck in traffic for what seems like an eternity and in both cases I'm left with at least a 20 min walk. Went on the pitch with kids for an hour after the last game up there. No real traffic problems after. More haste, less speed. Enjoy the day out!

Motorbike was the only man back in the days before the kids came. They used to let me park right outside!

But that is because of the stage of the championship you are going at, its inevitably a huge game if you are going. Not a round robin match on a Saturday evening at 5pm suiting nobody. I remember when I used to go to Ireland matches in Lansdowne and terracing was done away with, there was temporary seating. Would this be an option for a week or two to increase the capacity behind goals at regional grounds if terracing is not up to scratch? Even League of Ireland clubs have got it in at times. I remember going to see the Youths play Derry City in the League Cup final in 2008 there were temporary stands never mind just temporary seats!

Sounds good only it's houses flying up there at the moment. They're building all these houses with no provision for primary and secondary schools to be build or expanded, how do you think co councillors will have the foresight to build a pitch. You should see the balls up there at, at the moment trying to get a proper swimming pool build because of the increase in population there.
