Tomas OSe's joke about the Tyrone players and long covid was very poor form. I would forgive a local podcast but how unprofessional can you get as a national broadcaster? Even OTB have more class then that.

Canning has been brilliant this year after a really rough start last year where he was all over the place and didn't fully grasp what was needed and expected of him, he had Ursula Jacob to thank for saving him on that occasion. He's insightful, understands the modern game and is actually excited. I think Richie Hogan could be another who might be picked up in a few years but maybe too controversial for RTE.

It wasn't a joke. Jokes are funny, in general.

Yes and Cantwell, Whelan and Keegan laughing their heads off. Poor judgement shown on our national broadcaster.

The whole show has been on a downward spiral since the imposition of the continuity announcer quota, and scripted questions and discussion points.I now mute when action stops to save just being annoyed.

Why would Hogan be too controversial for RTE?

Couldn't believe Cantwell laughed, I did, but didn't expect her to. Thought she may even have pulled him on it.

He would be very good but is quite strong in his opinions on how the game is played and should be viewed. Donal Óg has seen his screentime reduced for similar views. I think Hogan is very knowledgeable and articulate and would easily transition to a pundit role.

Yes, she is always so confrontational over silly little things, but on this she laughs it off.

I would have her before some of the others as a presenter

It's an awful programme now. I don't like Cantwell as a presenter as she controls and dominates whoever is on the show with her. It's bland, boring and predictable. I haven't watched The Sunday Game evening show in a few years.

You are correct, Cantwell is more of a provocateur than a presenter, the Sunday game presenters should be shared between Male and Female, ie Jacquie Hurley and Daragh Maloney.

You ooze positivity Ulsterman. I wouldn't at all be surprised of you are up on Ravenhill Road of a Sunday listening to Big Ian's successor predicting the Rapture.

(Your Rapture is probably the Dubs :-0

Why don't you watch the Northern Irish version?

Do you not think she at least instigates a bit of debate and can get a rise out of people? It's the panelists that are usually unbearably bland. To be fair I think they are also straight jacketed by a very on-script show. Whoever the show producer is is probably the one to blame. Donal Og was the closest to going off script and came out with something controversial. The football pundits just seem to have lost their passion, there never seems to be any bit of heated debate over an incident. It's all very moderated and yes I hear your point but I disagree like they are in some sort of counselling session. There should be mandatory three half-one's each before going on air.
