Last time Dublin made it out of Leinster "peak" isn't exactly the word I'd use to describe their performance against Laois.

I would rank this wind up a 2 out of 10, but well done on getting so many to take the bait.

It has been the best, it's unfortunate neutrals have not been attracted to it. The Munster Championship has been epic but it's been played in a very crowded sporting calender and will have passed most sporting fans by.

Replying To Viking66:  "I don't see how Galway and Kilkenny aren't overly exerted. They have to play 1 more game than the Munster counties. So they have 1 less rest week. They still have to play their full teams and play hard, if they don't what happened last week to us might happen to them. Yes the Munster counties have to play 4 hard games on paper, though every year in reality there's been a round robin at least one county that has performed badly, or not so well."
If Galway and Kilkenny are genuine AI contenders, which I think they are, playing an extra game against Antrim or Westmeath should not be an issue. The KK vs Galway was like a challenge game compared to Munster both teams shadowboxing because they know they will meet in the Leinster Final. It'll be interesting to see how this weekends games go and we'll learn much more about Dublin and Wexford but compared to the war that is the Munster Championship I think it's fair to say they have much more room for error. While Waterford have had a brutal championship again, it's not necessarily a handy game either as Limerick found out this year.

Clare were able to rest all their good players, and over half their team, against Waterford last year and still won pulling up. That on top of already having an extra rest week. Galway and Kilkenny didn't do that against Westmeath or Antrim, let alone Dublin or Wexford.

It's not long since KK were 'killing', to use your unfortunate word, all before them in Leinster and in the All Ireland series. The only two teams that came within an asses roar of the them were Tipp and Galway. I didn't hear any suggestion coming from Munster that KK should be invited into their province, a no brainer geographically, to give the poor cats a decent game.

Well after Galways 11 year sojourn in that old 'bear pit' and their surprising lack of success, even the much vaunted Cats might fear a transfer there. BTW Cork beat KK in two All Ireland Finals and came with three points of them in two more, so they gave them tough games as well and Limerick gave them good challenges in '12, when KK only pulled away in the last five mins and '14 when it went down to the wire. I remember the Banner and themselves also have close enough games. We got a dreadful start in 07 but they did not beat us the bones of twenty points, like they did to other counties I could mention, despite the Lads being nine points down after nine minutes. In fact we were the closest side to them that year. In fact Limerick and Clare are the only two teams that KK, at their Zenith, never beat by ten points or more.

BTW Cork did not beat KK In 2 finals. Cork did not beat KK at all when KK were so called great after 2006

I gather from what you've written about Galway in the past number of years that you don't rate them at all. They can only play one good game and then they're finished. So you won't need to worry about them if/when they meet Limerick. And you recently said that this KK team are in your words "a very average team". So you needn't worry about the cats either! It will be an easy road to Croker for ye if ye get out of Munster this year!

Leinster lacks the bite of championship. A pundit mentioned he went to Kilkenny v Dublin and there was no sense of a championship atmosphere in and around going to the ground. Very little traffic or anything."
You should've come up to see Wexford v Kilkenny if you wanted traffic jams and a high intensity game of championship hurling!

Not quiet. I just feel Galway should and indeed could be doing better. We never know, when the end of this great run come. It is best return over a six year period, by any Munster, since Cork completed the Four in a Row in 1944. It is clear that the team is going back, but as they proved over the past two Sundays even hit with adversity, thye are still dogged Championship Campaigners. As I always Baire if ye or Clare win it out now I will be the first to congratulate ye.

In the unlikely event that Galway win an AI in the next couple of years, from which side of your mouth would you be talking when you'd congratulate me? ;)

Galway pre 1975 were the equivalent to a Joe MacDonald or even Christy Ring team, think they even went 20 years without winning a game at one stage. Immigration and the lack of any form of organization in hurling in the county, there was even years around then they wouldn't enter the club all Ireland hurling championship and others from Connacht took their place in the early years. They even lost the 1973 all Ireland quarter final to London (who had more quality Galway players than Galway even had) Truth be known, Galway hurling is probably one of the GAAs biggest hurling successes in from where they came from and how they've managed to turn into a big player nearly every year since 1975, they've come a long way from what they were, complaining about them not winning more all Ireland's is whole better than them trying to find 15 lads to fulfill games in the 40s-70s low. I don't think any big county has come from such a low except maybe Offaly pre 1980 but they've fallen off again and now showing roots of a rebirth. The 00s ya few Munster teams outside of Cork and Tipp gave them OK games but those teams were also loosing to Offaly, Wexford and Galway more times than not. You could win Munster in 2 games back then. It's only since the round Robin came in that this is an issue, back in the pre 2018 format it was a lot more equal cus at most you'd get 3 tough games in either province but now with groups Munster teams obviously always have 3 tough games (say 3 because at least one team has always been dreadful in it Waterford 2019,22, Tipp 22 etc) whereas Galway and Kilkenny get 2 cake walks, a tough game off each other and a tough game off either Wexford or Dublin. I will say that the Munster games not involving Limerick weren't anything to write home about, the common denominator in all the great games this year in Munster was Limerick and teams rising for them, I don't think any of the others will live long in the memory, maybe the last 5 mins of Cork and Tipp but other than that it's only the Limerick ones that were any good. In Leinster Galway v Kilkenny was OK, had moments. The Wexford Kilkenny game was great game, the best game of the weekend. The Limerick Tipp game was great, the Limerick Clare game was great, the Limerick Cork game wasn't as great but still a very good game. Those games and the Kilkenny Wexford games have been the best ones this year. I think Munster is the best province with a great team in Limerick and one very good team in Clare, Tipp and Cork are good, Leinster doesn't have as much quality in depth but still has two very good teams in Galway and Kilkenny, Dublin aren't bad with a very good coaching team. Wexford are a mixed bag at the best of times but have probably a better record v Kilkenny than any team in Ireland since 2017. Can we stop all this nonsense of comparing provinces, if you want to be a bit more cynical, Leinster has had more spread of winners in 10 years than Munster in 4 teams winning it (Kilkenny, Galway, Dublin and Wexford) Munster (Tipp, Limerick, Cork) Leinster had 2 all Ireland winners (Galway, Kilkenny) and Munsters had 3 (Limerick, Tipp, Clare) Munster is great and I love all that goes with it but I can't stand people who build it up and the use it as a reason when they're knocked out, Limerick are going 5 in a row there and it's never been a problem for them when it comes to all Ireland series. The great teams are great for a reason. Even Kilkenny at the height of their powers being the only Leinster team to vote in Galway to Leinster despite it making it harder and bringing in the team that had beaten them more than any other over the previous decade. Great teams look to win, bad teams look for excuses. Here's hoping for a great championship ahead now the real business had started for everyone. Every team starts the year aiming for the all Ireland, it is the be all and end all of the year.
