Good to see the the anti-Armagh sentiment still alive and well in a few Donegal posters who thankfully don't represent the majority of the fine gaels from that proud county."
Most Armagh fans are dead on and they're a credit to their county in the way they travel to games. But like every county there are a few village idiots as well. One of your own on this very thread made a snide remark about MICA, which let me tell you is no laughing matter and is devastating hundreds, if not thousands of people, and not just in Donegal either.

Anyways, obviously a lot of background noise in the build up to this year's final. It should be a cracking game. Derry are maybe a wee bit ahead of Armagh but it wouldn't shock me at all if Armagh came out on top. It'll be very interesting to see how Derry handle Rían O'Neill. Lots of other exciting match-ups as well. There will be plenty of colour about Clones and I'm sure both sets of fans will enjoy the occasion.

Hopefully a good hard, hitting, close match without any controversey.

Derry by 2 points or so for me.

Yes, I agree with all - no need for that comment at all - a very serious and devastating issue.

you are not the arbiter of what is funny or not, if I find it funny and that is my entitled opinion. You have blanket insulted Armagh people on this site for years, you know you have, the evidence is your own written word. I am slightly leaning towards my good neighbours Armagh in the final, a fine county with real support through thick and thin.

Dia ár sábháil what are you on about? Well yes you are entitled to your opinion about what you find funny, and if people suffering from the MICA crisis amuses you then I guess it says a lot. I doubt the HS admins would permit me to write what I think about a person who thinks like that.

Where have I "blanket insulted the Armagh people"? More idiocy.

I hope Armagh do it, great fanbase. although being very honest, I don't actually think they are at the very top level and I think Derry will be better set up than them

Rian is sort of the x factor in my opinion, he's head and shoulders above most in either dressing room, and that's not meant as disrespect to the other players I just really feel he is an absolute star

Can't see Armagh beat, maybe by being heavy handed in the tackle and giving away too many frees. Other than that only one winner.

you know what, after all that has been going on this past few days, life is too short. I apologise to DCFCGAA and Lockjaw and sorry for making light of MICA. I will indeed make a contribution to the MICA support fund in recompense.

Imo Derry would have wiped the floor with Armagh but the Rory Gallagher issue is gonna upset the camp. Alot of hype over this Armagh team who are nice and direct that's for sure and good to see but over all Derry a much better outfit.

So it'll now be a much tighter affair!

Hoping Derry so it...

Massive blow for Derry. How does a camp deal with that?

Apology accepted. We all say/type things in the heat of the moment. Enjoy the game on Sunday.

Everyone enjoys the slagging about football most of it with tongue in cheek but not over the top stuff. Jesus the scoffing keeps the craic going whether it club or county. Gallagher steps down, he's doing the right thing, he has children to think of and they come first.

He's 'stepped back'.... it remains to be seen if that actually means 'resigned'...

It will be very interesting who plays where. If Rian O Neill is full forward do Derry drop Rodgers into full back or leave him around the middle. Or do Armagh start Rian around the middle to get him on more ball.

Assuming that the external matters have not interfered with their preparations, Derry surely a good bet at 8/11. Only reservation on that is that they seem to become ultra cautious on big days.

Last year they similarly romped through the earlier stages only to become ultra cautious against Donegal who they really ought to have had dead and buried before it went to extra time.

Hard to see how external matters won't have an effect. Gallagher has such a huge influence on that team and has brought Derry on such much in the past few year's. It must place a seed of doubt now in the players head's about the future.

Would have had Derry as a dark horse for Sam until this week. Takes a big team to win two Ulsters in a row. I think this week will be a gut punch to the panel.

Armagh by 2 for me.
