Fergal Logan was interviewed and said there is talk of Beffni, Newry or Carrick on Shannon for the Tyrone vs a Westmeath game. Cavan is a hour away, roughly, for both counties. Clones, Croke Park, Thurles, PUC, Killarney, Limerick, Galway and Castlebar are probably the list of stadia that can host All-Ireland quarter-finals. I think most observers will say Carrick on Shannon for Armagh v Galway is simply a poor choice, 9,000 capacity for a fixture that pulled in over 50,000 last yr It's 3 hours to Carrick I definitely agree - take the games out of Croke park - but tullamore would have been ideal - Carrick will be trek through the backroads of Cavan cuchulainn35 (Armagh) - Posts: 1673 - 07/06/2023 10:37:20 2484671 Link
