The Admission Prices At Croke Park Are To Expensive

A tough week on the purse if you weree aFermangh, Derry, or Cavan supporter at the weekend.
The fixed fuel costs of travelling away up to Dublin, toll charges, small eats ( if you dont take provisions with you ) parking fees, chapel plate costs ( I avoid Berkley Rd wan as I hear they take up two collections ), match programme to see who is playing. and while the great Mrs T gets the hair done on a cheaper day every four week the occasion demanded that she go out of turn and have the restorer added all adds up to abig Cost.
I feel that Counties outside of Dublin should have a free pass or a reduced admission of say a flat rate of % euros.
II am sure its a its a tough call if you go out of a house with a few gasuns with you .
Gaa Hq with the type of football now being served up, people will be considering not even watching it on the Television

I think prices are fair in Croke Park but I have other issues with the venue outside of pricing, I am a season ticket holder but will not be there if Galway manage to make the final this year. Its a fantastic venue of world class. The level of control exerted on supporters is IMO far too excessive. At last years final supporters were asked to produce their tickets several times inside the ground, ie after every visit to the toilet or shops. I had been in the city since early morning and was at the ground when the gates opened around 2 hours before throw in. My phone battery was dead before the end of the match. At HT I had to show my ticket in order to return to my seat, as had everyone else as far I could see. What if my phone had died before then?

You'd just need to get another job, Tom, to be able to afford it.

You could think about freelance journalism. You have the writing skills. Then you'd get into the games for free and be able to reclaim all those costs, though I don't think revenue will accept mass collections as an allowable expense, regardless of whether there's one or two.

You could approach Irelands Own to see if they'd take you on as their GAA correspondent?

He's a Monaghan man who likes to throw out the mean Cavan people posts. Don't engage with him.

The solution here Tom is simple, get that woman of yours to stop dying her hair and you've saved enough for the collection plate in Berkely Road, a ticket for the match AND your petrol to Dublin.

I hadn't been to Croke Park for 15 years before Derry's run last year. I didn't think going to the league final was worth it as it would cost me around £60 for ticket and transport. I also attend live music so it is often a case of picking between a football match or concert instead of both.

Your suggestion has a lot of merit, but the great Mrs T would not be to too happy stepping out liking arms with her Beau .
But back to admission prices for Croke Park, while we got our moneys worth this time I feel that a Fermanagh man say from Drumbrughas Fermanagh and travelled up with a few Gasuns and cutties sure it would be an expensive outing
I saw £5.00 admission for all non Dublin people

I'm very lucky I have seen Limerick win 3 all-irelands in croke park,I saw Limerick footballers in croke park, probably my most expensive day but I would do it every day of the week,to see my county in a final in croke park,I have learnt over the years to not spend as much but I'll happily keep going.

It's over 100 quid to watch Ireland play a friendly in the rugby v England in August with no children tickets available. So the prices certainly aren't comparable with rugby.
