Very sad news. By all accounts a gentleman and someone who was extremely well regarded in any of the counties he found himself working in. He treated his players like adults and allowed them freedom to live their lives outside of the GAA as well. My sympathies to his family, his friends and all the GAA communities that will be mourning his loss. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. I had the pleasure of meeting him a few times. A very likeable man and a man that did great work with Limerick and Tipp footballers in particular. Was just starting his journey with Offaly. Was on the Kerry All Ireland winning panel in 1984.May he rest in peace. CiarraiMick (Dublin) - Posts: 3901 - 13/03/2023 12:55:31 2463694 Link 0 |

He was on the sideline on Friday night when Laois played Offaly in a challenge match in Portlaoise so shocking to hear this news come-in less than 48 hours later. Laoisvillian (Laois) - Posts: 88 - 13/03/2023 19:11:24 2463792 Link 1 |

RIP Liam. Will always be fondly remembered in Tipp for taking them to an All Ireland semi final which no one could have dreamed of. By all accounts the players thought extremely highly of him. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 14/03/2023 11:59:01 2463860 Link 1 |
