Last Sunday Armagh took between 6-7,000 supported to Dr Hyde Park , for an average at least a 6 hr round trip - but according to the GAA over 7,000 tickets have been sold in Armagh for the Kerry v Armagh NFL fixture in Tralee… some support for a county that haven't won anything in near 15yrs

Brilliant support, the colour is superb in the summer and very friendly as well. The attendance for the Hyde had to have been a good bit over the 8,000 quoted in the papers.

Mayo have brilliant away support as well and to be fair, the Dubs love to get on the road.

I think maybe the quoted figures are tickets sold. So wouldn't include under 16s who are free?

The league is a cracking competition. I really look forward to the televised games and as highlighted, with large attendance there's a great buzz at the grounds.. Fair play to those who are travelling. I'm sure they are having a good time

I'd say if a Mayo man and and Armagh man were stranded on a desert island they'd do nothing but talk about what great supporters they are....

No way Armagh had 6-7000 in Hyde Park. They didn't outnumber the Home support so going by that there would have been 16-17,000 at the game?

And a Galway man would find a fault in everything.

Would one be correct in saying that only three counties have beaten Kerry in All Finals in the last Fifty years and Armagh is one of them.

As this is a " Pat us on the back " thread, Tyrone beat Kerry twice in finals and beat the mighty Kerry on route to their other two wins. As Donaghy says, "what do ye think of that Armagh".

I'd say about 10,000 in The Hyde last Sunday. Probably around 3,000 Armagh supporters which is great away support for a League game in February.

You are wrong. Four counties have beaten Kerry in All-Ireland Finals in the last fifty years, Dublin, Tyrone, Armagh and Offaly.

If you are to go back sixty years, Kerry lost to six counties, Dublin, Tyrone, Armagh, Offaly, Down and Galway.

A little over 5,000 tickets was sold in Roscommon I believe. Attendance figure by journalist was guess work (8,500) it was closer to 10k.
