In what has to be the the shortest reigns for a gaelic footballer manager, Pat Flanagan has left Meath club Ballinabrackey after just 4 days in charge to take a similar role with Kildare's Sarsfields.

Other managers have come and gone within a short length of time but this has to be one of the shortest reigns of all. ?

Should such appointments be set in stone with penalty's / conditions attached.?

It's an "unpaid" voluntary thing in an Amateur Sport and isn't covered by GAA rule book so anything goes.

It was end of the tether time. End of the worst ever run in games - 14 straight defeats - and we've had some some ones!

From memory I think Waterford hurlers had a change of manager that lasted a day but it was all above board, open and transparent.
This one is a bit different, it lacks openness and transparency, and brings the question of commitment and honour into play. Other than that no rules were broken.?

Mossy Carroll was appointed Limerick hurling manager on 4th March 2002.

He was un-appointed 24 hours later.
