Ed Sheeran For Wexford Park???

(Oldest Posts First)

What a joke. It simply won't happen. Wexford Park is totally unsuitable for a concert of that magnitude. With maximum capacity of 18,000 it would be miniscule for a guy such as sheeran to perform there. Would be nice to think that he would come here seeing that he has wexford connections. The chairman of the county board is optimistic but I believe its pie in the sky and makes a good headline in the local rag.

Given he played in Thomond Park this year which holds 26k and in Salthill on a previous tour which I think is around 18k too I don't think the capacity part is a big issue. I would imagine there's alot of hurdles to get over for a license etc. given its in a residential area.

You are forgetting the main part of the capacity for a concert will be the area of the pitch . It will probably be an expensive gig with around 15000 to 20000 tickets priced up in the heavens. Sheeran might do it at cost as in fairness he is a big Wexford GAA supporter. Bet you it happens lad!

Maybe a daytime or evening concert?

Speaking as a local resident I'd be bloody delighted.

There's nobody living here before the park was built. We All-india knew what we were getting into
