We won't know that until we come up against some tight marking defenders….. that will tell the tale.. I would keep my powder dry as regards the quality of our forwards at this stage…they have come up against nothing yet…!

How do all. Anyone travelling to Belfast on Saturday? Not great being a 2pm throw in on the day after Paddys day, and 2 to 3 hours journey for most. How do we see it going? Antrim have been very poor, and you'd wonder where their heads are at after that tonking by Westmeath. Handy enough win while getting fitness into some and potentially give some squad players a run?

I would expect a 8 point win minimal.

I wouldn't go mad changing the team but i think James Smith and Gearoid should start and i'm not sure if Oisin Brady is fit but i would not risk him on a wet heavy pitch in a nothing game.

We should be able to keep the winning run going in a game like this but I wouldn't be going for too many changes….

You can say that again

Few changes from the last day. No McVeety, Cian Reilly on. Jack McKenna in too. That's fine, not expecting a full team and he needs a rest. Come on lads!

Great to see Jack mckenna getting a run at midfield i hope its not a false team they have named and that he really does start if not some one deserves to get a kick in the arsh as that would be no way to treat any player. He is a very direct player not much backward passing and holding possession with him straight for the opposition goals the only danger is that he must be in their on the panel for nearly two years now and they may have succeeded in getting the football coached out of him before they risked starting him .Best of luck to him and Cavan today.

Woeful result but maybe a good wake up call…

Guessing focus has very much moved to championship.

If not, that's a worrying performance.

Wake up call? Defenders are suppose to get even close to attackers. They could not even to pretend they were tackling.
Still we have promotion and that was the aim. We have 2 games now against Fermanagh let's see if we can win the important one! Not the next one! The important one!

Is a division 3 final really that important one?

I've a feeling Mickey and Co are firmly focused on championship at this stage

The minute I seen the changes to the team I knows we were in trouble. We will never be a successful team until we get rid of certain players for good. It's a pity we lost today because we had good momentum. It doesn't even feel like we got promoted today.

That's not confirmed yet, offaly can still get promoted if they beat down and cavan win next week

Made the last minute decision to head to Belfast, and was illuminating in a number of ways. Brutal result clearly, like really bad. But learnt quite a bit too. Promotion is wrapped up, as we all knew was coming. Fermanagh beat Westmeath, Down beat Longford. With Offaly and Down on 8, both play each other next week and can't catch us even if we lose to Fermanagh as we've got both on head to head.

Anyway, back to today. I think we set ourselves up very poorly. Against the wind with a team wanting to reply after a hockeying 2 weeks ago and fighting for survival. We brought back a few of the old guard, and think it's now clear what we have with those, and what we lost with the others out. Carolan and McVeety were badly missed. Not sure of Moynagh as a starter at this level. Just our setup all over was poor, and we thought the game would come to us rather than attacking it. Saying all that, Antrim did well. Got the early goal well, and jeez everything they were kicking was going over. Just one of those days. Ref was tight going as well with a lot of home town decisions and hard to know what way he reffed the tackle. We were non existent for 50 minutes until we finally decided to click, and use the players we brought on to go at them, and we nearly got it back. Just don't understand how we left it so late and so far back to decide to play.

But anyway, if we're to take anything positive from this, is that we know where we are with certain players. We know our stronger team I'd say. We're back to Division 2 which is our minimum requirement and where we should be at at least. Hard to know what to make of Fermanagh next week. Do we keep trying things, looking at stuff for Championship which Graham likes to do? Chances are we play them again in the final, so do you want to show your full hand? I dunno. Be interesting anyway and could be a lot of shadow boxing from both sides

The only way that we won't end up playing Fermanagh in the Div. 3 final is if we beat Fermanagh in our last game and Offaly beat Down in their last game. That would leave Fermanagh and Offaly level on points but Offaly qualifying on head to head.

Every final is important. They are scare.
But more important is learning to tackle or at least making an effort to tackle. Not standing 5 metre off your opponent. That's something you will be punished for no matter who you're playing.

I have a feeling "Mickey and Co" as you put it would be better off concentrating on trying to win the league Final because if today is any indication we will be torn apart by Armagh in the Championship

Ah come on, you're hardly going by one game now? Really takes little for you to go straight to negativity, huh?
