Off the top of my head, in football, the following counties have vacancies - donegal, longford, meath, offaly, wexford and wicklow, Antrim had an opening but have been quickest to fill it with Andy McEntee.

Dublin. But not long before Declan D'Arcy will be announced.

What experience has Darcy had as manager prior to this?

Pat Gilroy had very little experience as a manager before taking over the dubs AFAIK.

I doubt it. I'm not even sure how managed the commitment needed when he was involved. Declan's talents would probably be best served developing underage in Dublin. Anyhow, he seems to be concentrating on the ladies setup at the minute.

John Maughan has departed Offaly. Tomas O'Se is favourite to take over the Senior Footballers, but no official word from County Executive.

Mick Bohan selector. Stephen Cluxton considering if he will be another selector. Paul Mannion to return to the squad. A rumour doing the rounds that it will be announced on Tuesday.

Heard that rumor last night. D'Arcy might not have alot of management experience but alot of the players have great respect for him

Must be the best kept secret in Dublin GAA as there's very little chat about it. Best of luck to Declan if it's true, I wouldn't have him down as management material but he'll have lots of help in fairness. A lot of the lads he worked with are gone but he still has a decent team to work with so who knows what 2023 will bring. The parish of Aughawillan will be delighted if one of their own gets the nod.

Colm O'Rourke is the new Meath football manager. He ruled himself out of the job, last month, now he is in the hot seat.
Must put my name in for the Offaly job, before they give another candidate the nod.!

How about Tyrone? Something not right in the camp - 7 players walked, and there is something behind that which is not being spoken about. Dooher was a brilliant ball player, and a top coach and motivator with a run-through-walls approach, but he is all toughness, like a Roy Keane, and I'd wonder about his soft skills / people skills. It's not the 70s or 80s where a dominant manager took the head off everyone and it was all water off a duck's back - lads nowadays won't take that, and in fairness players nowadays are all putting in massive commitment and don't respond well to being barked at.

Sounded like most of the players who left were happy to have won an all Ireland and didn't have the interest in trying for multiple all Irelands.

Declan wont be managing Dublin.... https://m.independent.ie/sport/gaelic-games/gaelic-football/former-dublin-gaa-star-declan-darcy-to-join-leinster-rugby-coaching-set-up-41875776.html
From what I hear he's also doing a masters in DCU so hard to know where he would have the time for Dublin at the moment. I'd say Dessie is going to stay on another year.
