Replying To WanPintWin: "He left the field last year without scoring from play, after Kerry scored 4-22 in hammering a shambolic Cork team, so your comment is pretty redundant. Hammerings against Cork and Leitrim aren't where the likes of Comer and Clifford are measured. Clifford is one of the best forwards I've ever seen. He's not infallible though and struggled against Dublin in the 2nd half when the game was in the melting pot. The same happened in the Sigerson final earlier this year, where he kicked a few bad wides and didn't score from play. Comer is a different type of player. He's not going to come around on the loop and kick as many points as Clifford, but he's a massive threat and incredibly hard to handle when he's fit. His ability to take on his man or a few men is very rare in today's game. It also creates a lot of space for other players."
Agree, no doubt about Clifford's ability, some small doubt in that he has missed clutch scores in big games. Comer is at his injury free best at the moment and could definitely be the man on Sunday.

A lot of talk in the last week since All Star shortlists we're announced but not a word about The Tailteann Cup all stars. Will there not be a shortlisting process like the all stars or is it only the 15 named that will get invited to the event. For all the talk of promotion of the competition and the relative success of it in its first year it is a pity there hasn't been any talk of it in the media like there has been the main All Stars

I just hope they dont complete the team as they do with Christy Ring/ Nickly Rackard - there has to be a player from each county involved.

I'm a huge fan of Clifford but I thought some of the commentary from McStay in this years final was borderline outrageous. Any time the young kerry man touched the ball, McStay spoke as if he'd split the atom. Also, Walsh was motm in the final, by a good bit too imo.

Probably would have been better announcing the All Stars a few weeks after the final. It's 2 months since the Tailtean Cup. Obviously when the All Ireland was playerd in September they could reflect and name the All Stars a few weeks later.

Was he though? He won player of the month as well despite doing little in the quarter and semi finals. IMO he shouldn't be nominated for Player of the Year at all.

Was he motm in the final? Absolutely. Poty? No chance.
