Galway Can Beat Kerry In The Final.

We'll never know but psychology prevented Mayo from pushing on against Dublin last year, until they finally realised they were well ahead of Dublin that day.

The Dublin Kerry semi was different, Dublin were well in the game and you'd be sure with the many wides Con would have been around those areas to convert some of those chances; in a one point game that would be significant.

You need luck to win All Ireland's and Kerry were lucky they faced Dublin without Con. I didn't think Dublin would get as close but after it, realised Dublin were unlucky with that major injury, which is why Galway have a great chance on Sunday.

Id be one for it wont bother me if Galway win it, but being honest only cause of the All Ireland last year, if it was after Mayo losing the finals to Dublin then I would be sickened as Id see it as Mayo came up against one of the best teams ever and gave it everything but couldn't do it and then Galway come along then and win it when you could say Dublin were not the team they were..but Mayo had there best chance last year and botched it, no offence to Tyrone but thats how I see it.

it should be a good final, no pressure on Galway it all on Kerry and no one knows what Kerry will do under the pressure. Galway should have to stay in it as long as possible and try to knick it at the end. Both teams play defensively, one with full time sweeper and other with a double sweeper so neither team will be hammering the other.

Kelly is well able to mark Clifford, and unlike Mayo or Dublin in the fist half, Galway will have other bodies around to cover space infront and around him. T O Sullivan I think will be well able to mark Shane Walsh and Walsh hasnt done a whole lot from play yet but will need him to keep the consistency with the frees.
Foley probably be on Comer, good match up but I think Comer can get joy off Foley, will need help off Morley to try and curb him. Finnerty is benefitting from being the over looked forward as all focus does be on Walsh and Comer and Finnerty does be left one on one and hes well able to kick scores so h could be vital for them scores that keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Geaney should come out firing after not a great performance in the Dublin game. as someone already said they could try and isolate him inside early and give high ball in which should be the plan as Gleeson isnt confident under them and Silke, Glynn, Molloy, Mchugh wouldn't be the biggest of lads, probably Glynn be picking him up and Silke on P Clifford.

I actually think Galway might get caught around the middle for athleticism, i think Kerry player have too much on the legs for the lads Galway have around the middle, Conroy, Tierney and Kelly, all have been good players so far but Kerry are a big step up in conditioning and movement, I THINK, from what they have played so far in Croker.

Gavin White if hes out will be big loss for Kerry, very important player for there transition into attack.
Galway bench is not great, Kerry have the advantage there.
Both teams have a few longe range shooters so I that as pretty even.
I see this going like the Mayo/Dublin games, where its close for most of the game but the subs coming on to make the difference for Kerry."
I really can't understand the narrative coming from Mayo supporters about last year's final. How in gods name can claim you botched it.

Mayo were beaten by a far better team on the day. There was only one team in it for the majority of the second half and even if Mayo had of scored the penalty there is absolutely no guarantee that they would have won the match, especially when you consider their mental fragility in such circumstances.

You could argue that you botched the 2013, 2016 and 2017 finals when it came down to one point games and only for things like silly sending off's, own goals or a serious lack of concentration you realistically could have won those games.

But the 2021 final, no that one you did not fumble, miss the boat or botch. You just lost to a superior team.

No complains…Tyrone the much better team on the day and deserved yer win. The only disappointment I have is that Mayo did not play to our potential on the day. Maybe Tyrone didn't let us play but we didn't do ourselves justice I feel.

Shane Walsh had his best game against Roscommon because Roscommon gave him plenty of time and acres of space. If you do that he will punish you. Armagh and Derry didn't give him an inch but credit to him, he still kept his composure for free taking. Kerry would be foolish if they don't do something similar to Armagh or Derry. And maybe that can be an advantage to Galway, keep someone tied up on Walsh which could free up some of the other lads.

Stop Paudie Clifford getting the ball, stop his runs, stop him getting the ball into his brother and O'Shea.

Yes, Paudie is the glue in the Kerry forward unit. He's the driver of an awful lot of what makes his brother David and Geaney click inside. Nullify Paudie's influence (a huge ask!) and we'll be right in the battle. Trying to shackle Seanie O'Shea is another mega task of course but Paudie is a mission critical job for us. If we can frustrate him, it'd go a long way.

Sorry for the late reply

Congratulations to Kerry

I'd feel sorry for Peter Keane

Felt that Kerry left a couple behind them under his watch over the last couple of years

This title was deserved and should have come sooner

Looking forward to stopping your two in a row ;)

Well done. End of. Deserved.

Just goes to show that the dire whinging from some prominent Kerry posters has been blatantly exposed, we heard all the horror stories about it being the end of football, end of this, end of that..

Hyperbole nonsense.

The sky was falling down while the great Dublin side broke the records, but lose a few of the lads that did the hard yards, worked their balls off earning those records, they call it a day.. and now look..

Dubs just had the superior team at that time with outstanding footballers

Now they no longer do in such abundance and have been beaten twice in Croke Park by deserving teams, the ludicrous hyperbole whinge porn that infected this site for years has been exposed for what it was... A load of self serving whinging

Congratulations to an excellent Kerry side that have earned this, by beating the best in front of them.

I think it's only now that the greatness of the Dubs on that run can actually be fully appreciated.

What they achieved was remarkable and I'll die a completely satisfied supporter of Dublin GAA.

Congratulations again to the mighty Kingdom

Best of luck folks

Time to summer and eventually winter well

Looking forward to a Division 2 football and getting on the road.

Sport is like that though, great teams tend to get deserved credit as the years go by. There is no doubt Kerry were the county hurt most by Dublin's success, especially the fact they went on to win 6 in a row.

To be fair Kerry like great sporting organisations/teams reacted well, opened a new centre of excellence, put money into the strength and conditioning side of things, and recruited their best coaches to work with the youth structures, to build it back up again.

Deep down despite their people in the media, in my opinion Kerry knew Dublin's success wouldn't last forever but wanted to improve things in their own county so they were there to take advantage when the time came. They won the All Ireland last week and look in very good shape, so credit to them, looks like they used Dublin's successful years well.

Dublin, under the guidance of John Costello, have built up great structures, that guarantee a constant flow of talent.

The next managerial appointment is crucial. Jack McCaffrey and Paul Mannion back and it's game on.. A team I admire so much and love watching - compelling stuff..
