Dublin V Kerry

Replying To railwayman:  "Jack O'Connor famously said, in 2012 after Kerry were beatrn by Donegal that if Kerry played like Donegal he would get 'bata agus bother'. I wonder if he'll be sacked tonight because they played EXACTLY like DL 2012! Majority of scores from turnovers, short kickouts to retain posession, long spells of possession with no attempt to score etc. etc. I'm not saying it wasn't a great game. It was but isn't it incredible the influence that Jim McGuinness has had on Gaelic football!"
Ye its not something to be bragging about considering the remnants of that system were played by derry yesterday scoring a total of 1 06 and club games in donegal ending in 1 -1 to 1-4 by two of the better teams in donegal

Comhghairdeas Mick. Enjoy the build up to the big day.

Genuinely happy with Dublin's 2nd half performance in particular to be honest.

A bad league followed by a decent championship all told.

I think the final is very much a 50/50 game.

Derry yesterday were nothing like Donegal 2012. Kerry today were EXACTLY LIKE DL 2012. Any anyway who's bragging?

Replying To JoeSoap:  "On the follow through his left boot collided with Comerford's head alright. They gave a free out, like I said that's about the height of it. It's a collision after going for the ball.

Had O'Sé blasted that ball into the net and his left foot comes through and collides with Comerford, would people be calling for a red card?"
Joe, I've played soccer for years, you know rightly where your trailing foot goes. S O'Shea is an unreal player - a clean player - I'm glad he wasn't sent off for dangerous play and I felt the ref made the right call. Sometimes young lads can lose themselves for a split second (imagine your feelings after kicking a poor pen straight at the keeper) and do something rash or out of character. It happens in our amateur game.

Hopefully the TS etc doesn't go after him in the Dail tomorrow, he doesn't deserves that. He made a mistake and I'm sure he'll apologise to Comerford in the coming days for booting him in the face with his trailing foot.

I think we played well enough without O'Callaghan to say we'll be in the hunt for the next couple of years, hopefully. I'll sit back now and enjoy what should be a decent final.

Derry must be kicking themselves today, great team of players but managed by a clown.

Damo Comer, Paul Conroy, Seán Kelly and hopefully Shane Walshe will put a stop to Kerry's gallop.

He followed throught into Comerford's face. Not nice but it is what it was.

Cavans Galligan gets a straight red for a shoulder on O'Toole who was slipping down but on his feet and was not obviously injured (arms up and complaining). O'shea attacked a ball kicking into the keeper ON THE GROUND....and connecting with right foot in mid rift....and left foot on the face of the keeper.....no card ...........JOKE.

Galway can and will put it up to Kerry. They have the game and the players. Start believing, any negatives and it is curtains for us. Damo Comer is better than Clifford, Paul Conroy is as good as O Shea.

What exactly should it have been a red card for?

Sadly they are not. Comer is unreal but Clifford is in a class of his own. Conroy has had a poor championship.
Galway will give a good account of themselves though and you never know what will happen on the day

That ball was loose and O Shea would have been wrong not to go for it.
He's a clean, classy footballer and as a Galway man, I'd be upset if he was booked not to mind sent off for that.
Con O Callaghan proved to be the difference.
Dubs so classy in defeat. Makes me admire that team even more.
Hon Galway!!!!

I agree the Galligan red card was extremely harsh but O Shea was entitled to go for the ball and any contact with Comerford was accidental so no card was the right call….

Have to strongly agree! Nothing wrong with trying different approaches to win, but that sort of sanctimonious gate keeping and being bad losers (which is mad when they have so much) from Kerry is what really annoys me.

I think it's striking that outside of the Cliffords and O'Shea there aren't any other standout scoring forwards for Kerry. The fact that those three are so good, papers over their limitations massively.

First off a Tyrone supporter talking about anyone else being sore losers is quite ironic to be fair.

You say Kerry have no standout forward by three? Do Tyrone have six so is it? Or even name a team who does?

Are you only allowed to comment on another team's ability if your own team is flawless in every way?
